Cottonwood Adopt Brunblakk Fjord

Postby Penultima » Wed Sep 18, 2013 1:00 am

A fjord pony for you guys! (that adorable pony face <33)
For him, tell me something about his past. Any length story is fine.

    Owner: Shaded with Patience
Name: Höðr (Alternatively Hodr. Norse god of winter, brother to Baldr, god of light.)
    Gender: Stallion
    Age: Five years
    Breed: Norwegian Fjord
    Coloration: Brunblakk (dun)
Something about his past: Hodr was born at an equestrian center in Harstad, one of the most northern towns in Norway. He originally had a twin brother, named Baldr, but Baldr could not stand the cold and died only a few days after birth. Their mother, Frigg, was very ill for a long time, but her health gradually improved until she could nurse Hodr once more. Hodr, now three weeks old, took to his mother instantly; after Baldr died and Frigg fell ill, the two had been separated and the humans had nursed Hodr.
Hodr and Baldr were born on the seventeenth of May; a national celebration in Norway; and were therefore considered to be lucky. On Hodr's first birthday the following year, a young girl came to the center. She was small and plain, with blue eyes and dark blonde hair, and she fell in love with Hodr the minute she laid eyes on him. She would come back every weekend to talk to him softly and stroke his nose over the fence, and soon enough Hodr began to fall for her as well.
It was then that the equestrian center's profits from riding lessons rapidly fell. They were forced to sell nearly half of their horses- the ill, the old, the young. Both Hodr and Frigg were sold-but to separate owners.
As Hodr stood in the transportation vehicle, he wasn't stressed or anxious in the slightest. He had been transported in these big shiny noisy things before, so he was expecting nothing much to change except for his paddock. Admittedly he had always travelled with his mother before, but he was a big boy now, nearly a year and a half old, and he could take care of himself.
As the vehicle stopped and he was led down a ramp by a strange man he hadn't seen before, he was surprised. The forests surrounding his paddock at his old home were gone, replaced by large buildings and a frozen lake. His ears flicked nervously, and he shied back. The man shouted in surprise and raised the end of the leadrope, as if to hit him.
"Pappa! Pappa! Nei! Ikke slå han!"
Hodr looked round and spotted a tiny figure, budled up in layers of thermal clothing, rushing towards them through the sparkling white snow. She skidded to a halt next to Hodr, who shied away again.
"Heisann, Hodr," greeted the little girl softly, and removed her glove. She stroked his nose gently, and he snorted, the vapour curling up around her soft little fingers. She giggled. "Vilkommen hjem, kjære." she said through her bright red balaclava.
And she was right. This was his little girl, the one who came every weekend to see him, and he was home.

*Translations: "Daddy! Daddy! No! Don't hit him!"
"Hey there, Hodr."
"Welcome home, darling."

Fjords are my second favourite breed! They're so beautiful, and I used to live in Norway. When I went riding I had one Fjord who was my favourite- her name was Frigg and she gave birth to twins but only one survived. I have trouble remembering which one but I think it might have been Hodr who died. Anyway, Frigg was the sweetest thing <3

PauseOff you have outdone yourself! He is amazing!

Owner: ~Country~
    Name:
    Gender: Stallion
    Age:
    Breed: Norwegian Fjord
    Coloration: Brunblakk (dun)
    Something about his past:

WIP
Blame is a coward but self-righteous
A funny little creature hiding out in me
Hate is power with a price tag
A funny little creature screaming out in me
Listen to me
Fear is a liar but he's been right before
If you fight your shadow, you'll get lost in a war
Ambitions a champ, but he's also greedy
Drunk or sober he always wants more
I always want more
I always want more
Lust is beauty in a body bag
A funny little thing that's screaming "Just use me!"

Owner: SerenWish
Name: War of the Broadswords "Amund" (Amund means "terrible sword and protection")
Gender: Stallion
Age: 8 Years
Breed: Norwegian Fjord
Coloration: Brunblakk (dun)
Something about his past: Amund was once a top-level driving pony, who competed with his owner at the highest level of European shows, and at exhibitions such as Equitana. Unfortunately, a terrible accident ended his career, as well as put his owner out of business as well.

He's so adorable! :D

Name:
Space Bound aka Bounder

Gender:
Stallion

Age:
4

Breed:
Norwegian Fjord

Coloration:
Brunblakk

Height
14hh

Something about his past:

"Bounder!", the boy called out to his precious Fjord stallion who came bounding up the pasture hill in a full gallop and bucking into this air. His owners where very rich and on Bounders part that was all he needed in his life.
He could do anything, jump, dressage, driving, trail, anything.
The young buy showed him in everything and took home every ribbon despite his small size. The boys favorite quote was, "It does n not matter what size the horse is, just the will of him" and then he would add, "and my Bounder has the biggest will of all horses."(or ponies which is what he should have said). Bounder would just lift his head high and give a pose-type look like is he where saying it himself. Sadly that horrible day came when his boy just could not ride him anymore, he was too tall. He cried as Bounder got into the trailer looking very confused, and drove off.
Bounder knew that they where not going to a show, because he had not spend the last week being ridden five hours a day and he was not groomed yesterday. He panicked. He stared kicking and rearing. Then it happened. Hove you ever heard of those aweful accidents where the horse trailer gets unhooked from the moving vehicle? Yes, this is one of those stories.

Weird feeling and a sudden jerk forward, he immediately gave a large buck with fright which broke open the back door. He took off into the forest on the side of the road, that was just about the time when the drivers realized that their load was no more...

Bounder was so happy to be free it never crossed him mind where he was even going. He just went galloping thru the forest as if he owned it, feeling the wind run thru his ears. He jumped a few logs and braches before he saw the small pond. He stopped to take a drink..... His head flew up, "WHAT is heavans sake am I doing here??" he asked himself. A creepy feeling crawled up his spine about this dark and scary forest and the best idea jet crossed his mind.... Get out of here...

He was about dead when he saw his first human since the forest. The human about died too. She was sitting on the back porch of the retirement home she lived at and was resting. The old lady, who supposedly could not walk, got up from her wheelchair and RAN inside. Bounder was confused on how a human could be afraid of his great beauty, yet he never thought about the mud he was covered in, and the twigs and leaves that where tangled up in his mane and tail. He saw his reflection in the large window(which now a lot of old people where gathered at) and jumped two feet in the air. "That could not be me!" He thought and gave a big shake which scared a few old ladies from the window to their rooms, and more when he decided to trot up and say hi by blowing his nose snot all over their window. Finally a nurse with a tiny bit of horse experience came and to shoo him away with a towel. "Get out of here, *cluck cluck* c'mon shoo!" He was flabbergasted why anyone would want him gone so he protested by grabbing the towel she was waving at him form her hand, she jumped back. "Bad horsey!" is all that could come out, she walked quickly back inside.
After a few more nurses and a lot of hours, Bounder decided to leave this boring place. So he trotted off, and it was most exiting when he ran into the town, with streets and cars and schools. He went trotting down the streets with the cars, people where beeping at him, but most where pulling over and taking pictures of him. Their where a few that tried to come over and pet or catch him but he refused that by charging at them or cantering away. Kids from school got recess early because they wanted to see the pretty horse trotting around the town. It was most exiting when he tried to go near Rite-Aid and their was a magical door that would open when he got near it. He spooked and ran back into the streets, where he was almost hit by a car, or should I say hit the car, because it was practically parked to look at him.
Eventually(after being on the news and all) the owners heard about this. And Bounder was picked up by that little boy.
They tuned down all of the offers and are boarding him at CWHR, where he is half owned by me, and is leased and used for breeding.

Yes we all love our adventurous little Space Bounder~

Owner: preppy paws
Name: Resist
Gender: Stallion
Age: 7
Breed: Norwegian Fjord
Coloration: Brunblakk (dun)
Something about his past:
Introduction
Resist was a curious pony, with charm and encouragement, he had stumbled upon a cat like creature who was just about to attack but realized her prey was a pony whom looked familiar in these ages. She had not known that this pony could save her life at the time. This felines name was Callrine, a ancient name for the feline species.

Main plot
Resist and Callrine were out for a little stroll to the lake. They loved to see the water fowls swimming in such a beautiful place. Crocodiles were a problem for them, they always seem to love hoofed animals that were dumb enough to drink in front of one of the most dangerous animals. But sometimes they always don't go for the hoofed ones. Resist knew to stay away from the lake at times like this. On the other hand, Callrine had not. She was drawn to the water unlike some cats. She dived into the most cooling spot of the liquid. Underneath her was a vile croc awaiting for the perfect moment to snatch. Callrine ducked her head under water to sooth her fur. The croc lifted his body and took a bite of Callrine. She tried jumping but it was no use, the croc has his teeth sunken in. Blood was dripping everywhere making a pool of red. Resist had seen this most disturbing sight. He didnt know what to do. It was his life or hers. He knows that saving this one cats life could produce many more cats, so he took a risk and went for it. Not thinking he kicked the croc in the head and leaped towards Callrine who was released from the mouth of danger. She swam up shore and dryer herself completely. Resist was about to get out of the water but the crocs slik mind decided to chew on the pony. The croc tore a chunk of Resists leg then swam out to the middle of the lake to eat his prize. Resist shrieked. He was bleeding more then Callrine. He took a rest on the soft sand. Callrine comforted him. They were there until morning.

Conclusion
Resist had woken up. He still seen his now infected wound. He looked over at a patch of grass then at Callrine. She didnt move a single muscle. Something was wrong. Resist got up and nudged her body. Nothing happened. He knew now that she had died over night. He stood there and moaned for an hour then went out to graze in the grass because there was nothing he could do. He tasted the sweet green until night. He walked home but something spooked him. A noise out of nowhere appeared in the forest. All of a sudden, Callrines body was gone. Something must have eaten it and now it's going to eat Resist. No. It was Callrine herself. Walking towards him.
