What is a Mutato?
In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature,
radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Ahhh its so pretty!!!!
This is my first attempt at adopting a Mutato, so tell me if i've done something wrong..

This picture is just so pretty! To me, the bottom picture, the body, is how people see her, how she locks everybody out of her true feelings, and everyone sees a dangerous Mutato with no real feelings, but once the lock is open, you see the top panel, the tail, the beauty of her true heart, a gorgeous pattern of love and joy. This is due to a curse, see the short story.
Locked Soul drifted through day to day life, ignored by all, rejected by all. None knew of her true heart. It was locked away in an eternal curse, hidden so none could see. Her light grey eye blinked, watching the other Mutato's around her interact with each other and their owners, joy coming off all of them, yet she could not feel so. Or at least, not on the outside. She flies away, soaring to the clouds, feeling free. The sky was the key, the key to her soul. She flew high, joy and love for like emanating off her in waves. Beauty and life surrounded her, and she spun through the clouds, leaving a blazing trail behind her. Up here, she was free. Free from her curse of seclusion and rejection. Free to be herself.

The gorgeous sunset was all around her, vivid streaks of deep purple, royal blue, with splashes of pale pink and soft orange and flashes of a brilliant gold. Locked Soul flew through the clouds, the waning sunlight reflecting off the clouds to cast tiny rainbows about her. She smiled, enjoying the scenery. Below her she could see the green scenery racing away, a sparkling river cutting through open fields, forests and rolling hills. She saw in the distance, a mountain. Flying towards it, she felt her spirit slowly locking itself away deep inside her, so that no other on ground could see her true heart. Her soul was closed, a flash of a golden key as it sealed closed. The curse had been on her for her whole life for some unbeknown reason. What she had discovered though, was her freedom, the sky. As she landed, darkness claiming the landscape as the sun finally blinked behind the horizon, the final lock on her heat clicked shut, and she once again became a feared Mutato. Others steered away from her. She sighed, resigned to her fate, and started walking, or pacing to be more specific, dreaming of the day where the sky joined the earth and her soul would be opened eternally for all to see her true heart.
