I don't know why but I just adore Little Joe's horse Cochise from Bonanza~ He was a 15.3 hand, 12 year old Paint. This particular horse only lived five years in the 14 year series, because of a leg injury that eventually was the cause of him being put down.
Their was a total of 10 Cochise, and it is interesting because you can kind of tell the difference in each one. I remember their was this one episode when the "Cochise" he was riding kept on hopping and skidding around, either it was him in a frisky mood or a new horse.

My favorite character from a horse movie would have to be Secretariat. He came in as the under dog, not the best bred, and no one expected a thing from him, but with a big heart, love from his care takers, and hard work, he made it to the top and won the triple crown.

Favorite Horse Movie Character and Why: Spirit from Spirit Stallion of the Cimmaron. I guess I just really like the story, how brave he had to be, the fact that he was the only one who never truly gave up. I sort of respect him in a weird way. And plus, I love mustangs too.
