What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

++Reason for choosing the name: I was just in France, and her color sceme reminds me of the long fields of lavender. Wave because she (obviously) loves being at the ocean, and always rides the waves with her surf board or boat (boat's name: Wave rider)
+what are it's feelings about the ocean: The ocean is her heart. If separated from it, she will cry for days. It is the only thing she's ever really had, being rejected by everyone else.

The name Kaiolohia (pronounced; Kai-o-lo-hi-a), was chosen for its meaning and beauty. There were a few other names I was thinking of naming her, but I decided on Kaiolohia. This Mutato was clearly themed around the ocean, and Kaiolohia means calm sea. The reason I decided on clam sea, instead of something like ocean is simple. Everything about this girl seems calm. There's no huge waves, strong winds, or any fish rushing. It's just a clam, moonlit ocean, with a fish (or shark) swimming calmly. The only thing not so calm about her is her animated form. The static tail and the quick pacing, not the most calm thing. But all the same, Kaiolohia has a nice calm personality. The name itself just looks and sounds beautiful in my opinion, and I thought it was just perfect for this Mutato. However it is a bit long, so she is often called by her nickname, Kai.

Kai simply loves the ocean. She likes its elegance and beauty. She will often be found at the beach, staring at the sea. Kai likes to swim in the ocean water too, but only when it is calm. She will never go out too deep, and will always stay where the waved are only small. She doesn't like being pushed around by the bigger waves, but enjoys watching them. Her absolute favourite thing about the ocean is its sunsets though. Every night she will watch the sunset at the ocean.

username: Hello, I am Equinesta. I am a Mutato la' potato non-owner. ;u;

name: I am going to name her Elysia.

reason for the name: I chose this name slightly based on appearance but more on the beauty of the name. It means "struck/blessed by lightning" in Greek. Her nickname is Swift, Ely, Sia, and El. I have a couple of reasons of why I chose this name. One, being that she seemed like the punk, yet a sweet type of lady. Her name truly shows this kind of personality; tough yet beautiful. Two, her tail type. Silly as it sounds, doesn't a little electricity make it seem a little... tough? She is like a beautiful wolf: a pelt so silky and ethereal, but as dangerous as the sun. Her name is quite surreal and beautiful, and that is why I chose this name.
