What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

⊰Ghost: My Middle Name⊱
When I first saw her eerie pale colors and designs, I loved it and was instantly reminded of a ghost. The way the birds flew through the cloudy sky, the forest disappearing under fog, the twinkling lights... It all seemed very haunting and mystical. Something mysterious or supernatural, like a ghost.

I set to work finding the a pretty name that fit this. Stumbling upon a odd website, I discovered that in Japanese, Rei meant 1. A Bell, 2. Nothing/Zero, 3. Lovely, and 4. Spirit. How perfect was this? Everything seemed to perfectly match her. Lovely like a ringing bell, blank white like an empty canvas, and as ethereal as a phantom.

Then I realized: Rei was also my middle name! How could I have forgotten that? This just made me even more resolute that this was the perfect name and that I adored her.

If I were to win this Mutato, I would have her be female and name her Penna.

N a m e | R e a s o n - An elegant meaning
The word Penna means 'flight' or 'feather' in Latin. This Mutato's tail depicts birds flying, so naturally I thought it would fit. Apart from that, the name sounds soft and calm, which goes with the mood of the Mutato.
