What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Name of Mutato: Lucian will be his official name, but as a nickname ill call him Lupe (with an accent over the E) because Lup or lupe is the root meaning wolf, shown in words such as lupine.

Reason for choosing name: Well, I explained part of it above with his nickname Lupe sounding similar to lupine and lupe, French for wolf. I chose the name Lucian because it sounds like a sophisticated name from the 17th century, a time of superstition,where stories of strange wolf- men ran wild. Also, Lucian looks vaguely similar to Lycan, another word meaning wolf, such as Lycanthropy, being able to change into a wolf.

+This Mutato thinks it is a werewolf. Write a short story about one of its werewolf adventures:
Nirn happily bounded along, it was his first time hunting for the elusive cloud rabbits. He happily jumped from fluffy grey cloud to fluffy grey cloud as thunder crashed below him and lighting lit up his way. His eyes searched for the little white fluffy beings, his quarry, the cloud rabbit. He caught a glimpse of one as lightening turned a grey cloud ahead of him purple and he took off after it.
But before he could catch it he felt that twinge of pain, that lead to his change. He glanced up in time to see the bright moon and he let out a howl as he changed. He shook out his fur and sniffed, it would be much easier to catch that rabbit now... He took off threw the clouds, fast as a thunderbolt. He saw the flashes of white and grinned as he closed in, his sharp teeth glistened in the moonlight.

Name Meaning
Diablo actually means devil in Spanish. Diablo isn't exact evil, but he likes to make himself sound big and bad, afterall, he does think he's a werewolf. A big bad and scary werewolf needs a big bad and scary name, right?

Short Story
Diablo hopped about. It was the middle of the night and the moon was full. Diablo stopped in the middle of the empty and dark street. He threw his head back and let out and intimidating howl. Diablo flicked his tail and continued to hop, going over to a couple walking on the sidewalk. He skidded to a astop infront of them and growled, baring his 'werewolf' teeth. His little growls and barred teeth were enough to scare the couple, as they screeched and ran off. Satisfied, Diablo snickered and howeld again, going to the cemetery hill. Diablo hopped to the top of the hill and growled, sitting and looking over the town. It was his town now.
