What Is Serenity Shelter?
Serenity is a dog rescue. We rescue dogs of all kinds and rehabilitate them to be able to be adopted. Not all dogs have a nice past, such as just being given up to the shelter because their owners couldn't afford to care for them. Some are abandoned. Some were left for dead. But each one is special, and each one is full of love and ready to share it. We give the dogs the best care we can provide, but nothing beats a home that they can call their own. So are you ready to adopt?

He was found chained and neglected in their owner's backyard along with a dalmatian/pitbull mix who is also up for adoption. This hyper jack russel is very energetic and needs a family who will be able give him plenty of walks and exercise. He is estimated to be around three years old and is very aggressive with cats.

Kasper is an energetic dog that will run circles around you. It doesn't matter what this little dog is up to, chances are it will be full of fun, running and barking. He benefits from the company of humans although he is not the type that will glue himself to you, he is the more independent type of JRT but that's not to say he doesn't enjoy a good cuddle with his humans when he finally gets tired. Kasper has an obsession with tennis balls, although any toy will do really, his tennis balls are what makes him really go insane. Leave a tennis ball on the table just out of reach and he will sit starring at it and barking until you give it to him. His barking can become rather annoying, Kasper barks a lot, when he hears the door, wants some-thing, is excited, sees a cat outside or even when he is playing. He growls a lot too, mainly when he is plating but also if he hears a noise outside. Kasper does not get on well with cats, when he sees a cat he sees it as some-thing fun to chase however Jasper doesn't just want to chase, it's not his fault he has a high prey drive, it's in his genes. Kasper is pretty smart, he can puck up tricks quickly and so he often surprises visitors when they come around and see him doing a cute trick like beg or even riding a skateboard. His energy levels mean he needs to be kept focused, Kasper loves agility classes and his prize being a tennis ball, he's in his element. Kasper can often feel insecure around new visitors to the home and so at first he may growl a little however if you ignore him or throw him his tennis ball he will come around to like you quickly and will get to enjoy your company however be prepared to be playing fetch with him for a good few hours nonstop. Food is not really overly important to Kasper, in fact he is a bit of a fussy eater, normally fed on tin and mixer dog food, a lot of the time he won't eat that and instead may beg for human food instead although often gives in quickly if he doesn't win. Overall, Jasper is a loving but independent dog that needs an energetic life with lots of tennis balls and defiantly no cats. Maybe a dog companion although he wouldn't be to bothered.

BACKGROUND:

His human guardian raised them up well and tested each pup for rabbiting before choosing a single puppy to keep. Kasper and his other littler mates were raised up well for a more family orientated life. At seven weeks old, Kasper was picked up and taken to a new home, a distressing time. His new family seemed nice, they played with him a lot and loved him. But after he grew up and lost his puppy status the family grew less and less interested in him and spent less and less time with him. Kasper seemed oblivious to this and persisted to try to get them to play. When he reached about two he had another drastic change, he was suddenly moved to live in the back garden. His shelter was a wooden board resting over an old shelving unit and some-thing that looked a bit like part of a car engine. For the first few weeks he was tended well, fed daily, kept clean, water always fresh and a warm bed but gradually it began that his humans were not cleaning up the mess, instead of bowls of food they were throwing scraps through the window to them before the water bowls were being filled with rain water. The food started becoming less frequent and soon stopped for about a week before food started coming over the fence. The chain around Kasper neck was starting to rust which made it hard for him to be so mobile. After a week a human appeared to be spying on them, a few days later the human took them away from the garden and to a kennel where it was finally warm, dry, clean, there was fresh water, food and lots of toys, cuddles and walks. Kasper's life had began again.

Background Story:Bingo born on the street.When he was around 2 a hunter adopted him to be a hunter dog.Bingo did well but hunter dogs are always left behind.When Bingo was around 2 and 7 month old,he knew that the hunter didn't need him anymore.One night the hunter chained Bingo outside.With a feamel pitbull/dalmation.Someone so the poor littlée things and called the "Serenity Shelter".
