What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

The meaning behind me choosing this name is because the Doctor is often referred to as "A Lonely Monster" so I thought why not use that as a name for this mutate based around a Doctor Who theme. I also think that the fact that the Doctor is called "A Lonely Monster" is kind of sad and endearing in it's own special ways and it is such a true way to describe the Doctor as without his companions he would be terrible and would probably be a whole lot more like the 9th Doctor. All anger, rage and suffering and as this is based around the Doctor and Rose I thought since Rose is the one who essentially saved the Doctor from his anger and rage that it would be quite symbolic in those ways.

He likes Jammy Dodgers, Bananas, Fish and Chips and Fish Fingers and Custard. He doesn't, however, like yoghurt, apples or fry ups!

Reason for choosing the name:
I chose Theta Sigma because it was the Doctor's nickname at the
Timelord Academy on Gallifrey before he became the Doctor. :3

Favorite food:
Fish fingers and custard. And bananas! Bananas are a wonderful
source of potassium. Always take a banana to a party. He hates pears,
and apples are rubbish. X3

Petrichor
Reason for choosing the name ::
In season six, episode four of Doctor Who, Idris mentions the word "petrichor," which she explains is the smell of dust after rain. I really love that word not only because of it's meaning, but because of the image it gives me. And seeing that Bad Wolf bay is shown and that's water, and the void energy that caused Rose to fall into the vortex and become trapped in the parallel world in the first place looks a little like dust, I decided to name it Petrichor.
