What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Reason Name Was Chosen
Atria is the name of a star, and with a galaxy-like pattern it fits quite well. In addition, it holds an association with friendship and understanding social happenings, which I find matches the calm design.

Space can be quite strange;
No sense of time or distance.
Yet there's so much there.

So much to find out,
So much to discover still;
So much we don't know.

Can you imagine?

We can learn so much...

Just from a lot of empty space.

I chose Zodiac cause to me it reminds me of space, of constellations. It's a name that tells stories of 12 signs over 12 months. It's a beautiful name too. It just has that perfect unique feel as a name for this guy

A long time ago, I started writing a book, and Dark as Day was the title. The book fell through, but I always wanted to use the name somewhere else. When I saw this little sweetie, I knew that the name might finally find a place.

If she were mine, her name would be Unending Darkness.

Reason for name
Unending Darkness's name symbolizes the size and emptiness of space. As Unending Darkness glides along past galaxies and around planets, she begins to get lonely, longing for a home and someone to be with; a friend.

Unending Darkness's Poem
We stay side by side
Even though she wants to fly.
Whenever she lifts up off the ground,
she remembers that lonely place with no sound.
As she stares up at the stars,
she remembers floating sadly past Mars.
She always wished to have a friend,
But now she does, so she can't pretend.
She worried that someday
I would give her away,
But we are together,

My reason for choosing the name Nebula is simply because Nebula is like a galaxy in it's own way. It is a beautiful name full of meaning.

Night of Beauty

Fading fast into the light
The night will shine forever true

A world on it's own no need for day

The night breaks for the day
Creatures sleep and awake at dusk
Creatures scurry as the food chain continuous on

Nebula’s over head

Nebula lives by night and loves the beauty and serenity the night offers. Calm and cool it's one of her things. She enjoys looking up at the sky wondering what is up there? Who could be out there? The night has always fascinated her and she even changed her name to fit her love of the night. Nebula stays awake all night and sleeps during the day. She loves the darkness and loves flying off into the black sky with hues of blue and purple.
