What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

I chose the name vincent because the mutato's little tail reminded me of the painting starry night. and we all know who painted starry night; vincent van gogh -- and it's simply stunning.

ｍｕｔａｔｏ'ｓ ｆａｖｏｒｉｔｅ ｔｈｉｎｇ ｔｏ ｄｏ ａｔ ｎｉｇｈｔ;
vincent's favorite thing to do at night is to scamper on down to the nearby meadow and catch fireflies. He loves looking into the jar and seeing all of the bright, interesting lights. when he's finished with that, he lays down, opens the jar, and lets the fireflies go. he enjoys watching them flutter away into the night sky, like little stars.

~Lysina~

Although star means many things in Polish I find Lysina is one of the most beautiful names and would suit this Mutato perfectly <3 Plus I'm part Polish.

~About Lysina~

Lysina is a very caring Mutato. When a Mutato is feeling down she will take them to her favourite place , a little clearing in the woods, and then they'll fly up to to the clouds and look down at the world, pretending to be stars. She also does this every night alone because it's her favourite thing to do.

~Poem~

When the sky is clear,
The clouds have gone,
No one in sight,
And the stars are shining bright,

When snoring of the parents,
Fill the air,
Reach her ears,
And she rises from her bed,

Only then will she run,
To the clearing in the woods,
Then she shall lift,
Violet eyes shining in the moonlight like a star,
And she will bring happiness wherever she goes.

~Story~

I was strolling trough the woods when I heard the shouting. It wasn't angry shouting, instead a cry for help. At first I wasn't sure what to do but when the shouting became louder I rushed towards it. At the time I wouldn't have guessed that it was a trick. It sounded so sad, so lost, so in despair. A shining light awaited me there. At first I wasn't sure what it was. Then it began to speak.
" Why hello there Lysina, I see you've finally listened to me after all these years. I am Wander but you can can me Wand..." A beautiful figure appeared from the light. Her tail shone bright like the sun. I blinked and took a step back, afraid.
"Don't worry, I'm here to help you, to give you your destiny."
This Mutato is crazyI thought to myself.
"I'm not crazy Lysina. In fact maybe I am, for I broke the rules of the stars to get down here."
The rules of the stars? Oooookaaaay...
"But I'm afraid I must go now, if the other stars saw me I would truly perish. But I'll leave you with this..." she passed over a little note.
When I looked up she was gone so I began to read the note. ' Your dream will come true, don't worry. The stars are waiting. All you need to do is join us.' It read.
I looked up at the stars, my eyes full of wonder. Was this true? Or just some local kids trying to play a trick on me? After all, all my life I've always wanted to be up there with the stars but for some reason I never could.
I closed my eyes and jumped, getting closer and closer to the clouds above. Who knows? Maybe I could.
