What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

I would name this lovely lady Theia.

Theia is the name of the theoretical protoplanet that supposedly hit the Earth about 4.5 billion years ago and created the moon. The protoplanet is named after a Greek Titan who gave birth to the moon goddess, Selene. I picked this name because it is delicate and pretty, just like our astronomical little friend.

Makoto Tachibana, but that's pretty long, so Makoto is just fine with me :3. You can even call me Mako, if you want~

Amurg

Well, I was originally thinking to name this Mutato
"Dusk" if I got it... But, I suppose that would be too
simple, right? ^^" I basically kept it the same, but changed
the language because it's so original.
"Amurg", in Romanian, would translate to "dusk",
"sunset", or "twilight" (and, no, that is not a pun
on vampires). It can mean a few other things as well,
depending on the context, but I'll stick to those main three
for now. The pattern on both the top and bottom of the
Mutato reminds me of a peaceful sky (which I believe was
implied in the first place), but I couldn't decide whether to
make the name night or day themed. I was leaning more
towards night, but in the end I just choose neutral. Dusk
follows day and is right before night, much like dawn is in
between the end of night and the beginning of day.
Plus, Romanian is just such a beautiful language :3

Reason for choosing the name: The reason I chose the name, 'Silver Winter Wind' is because, the white swirls remind me of the harsh winter snow storms, gliding because of the wind. The colour of the tail is silver, with really matches with the theme and the little dots on the greyish silver background really makes it stand out.

Reason for choosing the name:
The design, especially the top one, reminds me of lights of a city or stars in the distance at nighttime, or fireflies too. It resembles that blurry spot-ish glare that lights have when looking through glass, and it's very beautiful so I thought the Mutato deserved a beautiful name as well.
