Foxerfly #21 WINNER ANNOUNCED!

Postby Kodabomb » Sat Jul 27, 2013 4:02 pm

What is a Foxerfly?
A Foxerfly is a fox-like creature that is rather small. They are about the size of the average house cat. Their very unique feature is the pair of wings on their back that allows them to fly unlike any other four-legged being. There are three different types of wings of a Foxerfly that resemble wings of insects.
Butterfly
Dragonfly and
Bee
Occassionally their wings will be different to others, but it is rare in the average Foxerfly. Their diet consists of everything a normal fox would eat; berries, eggs, small rodents, fruit, and they may chew on various crops. They are shy and extremely secretive among creatures of different kinds, so they are not seen often.
Be nice to your Foxerfly; they will only choose the one right for them.

This wild little guy is inspired by a storm! The grey-blue spots are failed representations of raindrops. XD

I enjoy very detailed and beautifully written stories. It MUST be written by you and about this Foxerfly. Try to get some storms in it! And also, the Foxerfly's name has to be the name of a famous cyclone/hurricane. You know how they're all named? Yah. It has to be one of them.
Have fun and Good Luck! End date is August 25th. <3

My winner has been decided! It was INCREDIBELY hard, like, I struggled, but I decided that the winner is; Kaiju!

Story:
You never know when a storm shall strike... for some it may be a fearful experience, but for me, it is definitely something that I love!
I have never gotten how people could see storms as a negative thing, I mean, yeah sure...they can sometimes break a few things or muck up your garden; But all good things have their downfalls, right? I, personally, have always seen storms as a thrill seeking, exciting and adrenaline pumping experience. What could possibly be better than sitting at the fire with a blanket and looking out the window, to see the dark skies being illuminated by sudden crashes of lightning!?
Even from a young pup I always enjoyed the thunder and lightning. I remember playing the game of 'counting between the flashes' to see how close the storm was! I used to get really excited when it seemed to be right above our house, rumbling over our heads and tauntingly flashing bolts of lightning at us! Everyone has played those games as a child, especially the counting ones!
As I got older, I can't say that I ever grew out of that fondness. That longing to just fly above the clouds and see what it's really like up there. Of course, as much as I love the weather, I do like to think I have some common sense, and so I know that is absolutely absurd and quite dangerous to ever attempt to fulfil that dream!
I remember one time, lightning hit the aerial of a nearby house, sending it up into a scorch of flames! Everyone quickly had to evacuate the street. The fleets of rain fell down upon our fur, soaking us to the skin and the thunder roared as if it were a mighty lion challenging us! The lightning flashed, the time in between each electrifying shock in the sky became shorter and shorter. It seemed to loom threateningly, ready to pounce at anytime and at anything.
We all got forced through the doors of the town hall, mothers and children bunched together as the fathers kept watch and helped to put the fire out, of course there wasn't really a need for them as the rain did most of it, but they did get a lot of appraisal and so I suppose no one dared to say anything.
The old charcoaled house still rests there. The trees and ivy have overpowered it's old remains creating a vast jungle of a garden. Sometimes you can still see a few pups fluttering around the highest branches of the plants. The innocence they carry has restored the house which seems to hold some grim memories for many. However, I shall always consider those memories one of the best times of my life, and shall continue to; For as long as the rain beats down, the lightning strikes, and the thunder rolls in the skies.

Your story was amazing, I really did like it. The name was adorable too. Please take great care of him, as it will be disappointing if Hugo isn't loved. <3
However, I did also love ~*bloodstainedrose*~'s story and the story/format of .:Galaxy:.'s was lovely. Sorry guys! D:

Story...

The sky turned black as coal, it's my favourite season Winter where it rains, storms. I love storms! Thunder started to bang the earth felt like it rattled, the house shook. I was waiting for something, the flash of light...Lightning

Around me everything went black, lights went out, appliances went out. My favourite part, this is what I wait for in storms.
I needed to go out side to see it all. I ventured to the front door. Water was up to the tip of my wings, so I can't fly through this not at all but I can indeed try. I opened the door watered enter in my house, wind went cry paintings crashed on my floor, I had to close the door it was hard but I did it. The wind howled, my drapes/ curtains moved with the wind. I peered out my window and it looked like a tornado trees were geting ripped out of the ground and I thought to myself "when is this going to end?" This horror night was just finishing..

My eye lids were falling as it felt like me house was getting lifted up, everything round me went blurry. Sun was braking through the clouds, rain stopped, the house dropped and trees went back into the ground..

Was it my imagination? I'll never know.

THE END

**Erick's Story**

"It was just like that, the storm started rolling in, my mother called me into our den. I helped her and my father block the entrance, hoping to finish before the storm struck, but before we could finish the first layer of rocks, lightning struck right in front of our den. My mother screamed, jumping back as it caught on fire right there. Since there was a over hang, rain could not get to it. We had to abandon the den or have the fire block us in. I was first out in to the fierce storm, the wind almost knocking me off my feet and I was soaked immediately. My father was next, than my mother. "We need to find a new shelter, quickly!" My father yelled over the thunder as we raced away from the den. My mother agreed. I was now following them, trying my best not to slip from the muddy ground.
After awhile, the storm got heavier and it was getting hard to see. My parents disappeared out of my sight since I had slipped onto the ground. I struggle to my paws, looking frantically around, "Mom!? Dad!?" I yell, but the storm hides my voice. I try to find my own shelter, succeeding in finding one awhile later. It wasn't much, a small den. I hid in there during the storm, trying to dry my wings and fur off.
Hours later, the storm finished, the sun peeking out from the black clouds, greeting the creatures that warily left their homes. I slowly left the den I had found, looking around. Floods were every where, I was glad the den I had found was not flooded... I saw my parents returning, seeming as if they were looking for me. When they spotted me, they raced towards me, grabbing me in a tight hug, crying.
After the storm and the reunion with my parents, I keep dreaming of that night.. The fire, the rain and the lightning, even the thunder. And till the next storm, I stay by my parents every day, un till I am grown up completely."
