What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

I chose the name tomorrow not because it is directly related to natural disasters, but it can be. Many people don't know if they will live another day, and in natural disasters, many often don't. They never have a chance for another "tomorrow" of life.

+What is the scariest natural disaster and why?
In my opinion, flood are the most terrifying. Unless you have a warning system, you might not realize that a wall of killing waters is approaching you. I live near the ocean, but my main house is far away enough to not be affected by floods. However, my beach house is minutes away from the beach and whenever my family and I visit, we find various signs of water damage from minor floods. I do not think it is when the flood is coming that is terrifying, but when it is pulling away. It drags corpses and those who are still alive across the land and destroys homes and other buildings. The scariest thing about a flood just may be that it is all water, something we need every day.

The tail is what inspired me the most. And it honestly just seems suiting for him.

Tsunamis, in my opinion. Powerful, large. They are very destructive and there practically no way to stop them? I don't live in a place that has many natural disasters (lightning storms are probably the worst here). But I would hate to live near the ocean in fear of my home and family being destroyed by a tsunami.

Reason for choosing the name
It is short for 'Super Nova' which is a star explosion, and that causes space clouds. And those cause 'Space Storms', Yes that is my thought process.











What is the scariest natural disaster and why?
The scariest natural disaster in my opinion is drought, yeah I now that it's not a storm, but it is still a natural disaster. My reasoning is that, a single drought in a town can kill thousands more people then any, tornado, hurricane. And just because of lack of water, not only can it kill fauna it also kills flora, and leaves just a swirl of dust.

Why Flood?
Floods are something i find very powerful. Where i live flash floods come through when we get too much rain. The ground becomes too dense as we don't get rain too often. Then we get too much rain and the ground can't take it all in, so a flood happens.

Scariest Natural Disaster?
Flash Floods.

Why are Flash Floods so scary?
Flash floods are a very destructive force, and have an amazing force behind them. They help rejuvenate the land, but also cause mass destruction. They don't happen often, but when they do, you'll certainly know about it.

Ki. Pronounced key-eye, it is actually a "spirit yell" or "energy yell" used in karate to tighten your core muscles and prepare for a blow,and to scare your enemies.

{reason for the name Ki?

For this Mutato, I'm focused more on the "energy" part of this name. Each ki gives more energy to your blow.
Natural disasters take lots of monumental energy. An earthquake is when two plates move, a tsunami can by formed from that. Tornadoes and hurricanes require lots of wind power. Therefore, each thing contributing to the power of the disaster could be Mature's ki.
And that's why I chose this name.

Ok. Here's a breakdown.
Earthquake;; Wait for it to go bye-bye
Tsunami;; Evacuate and try to get to higher ground
Hurricane;; Stay inside or evacuate
Volcano Explodes;; Leave.
Tornado;; Go try and live in a hole (that bears a striking resemblance to a community grave), and hope it doesn't come near you.
To me, a whirling vortex of doom eating my house is scary. Terrifying. You cannot avoid tornadoes by driving your house the other way. There's just something so blatantly horrible about a pillar of swirly death coming toward your house at about 300-400 MHP.
I know earthquakes are unavoidable. Trust me, I live in California, the earthquake state. Tsunamis and hurricanes are also unavoidable. But... The earth shivering, the ocean vomiting, and the sky throwing a temper tantrum just down seem so menacing.
