What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Gatsby's life was unquestionably indulgent; he admired and sought after the most lavish decor and proudly displayed them all. His love of all things glittering was widely known, and sacks and sacks of Mutatoes flocked to him to share in some of his glow. Believe it or not, he does get asked where his 'favorite place' is, the asker assuming it is a wondrous and extravagant place, but it is quite the opposite. When Gatsby lands to rest, he sneaks away from the prying eyes of his peers to a small clearing. Now, this clearing may seem normal to the untrained eye: toxic waste scattered around, an unpleasant odor hanging about. But Gatsby comes here to rest every time because of the fragile plants that weakly rise out of the ground. He first discovered the plants when he happened upon the clearing and decided it was a good place to pace and get away from his amiable, yet nosy, friends. As he began pacing, he noticed an unfamiliar crinkling beneath his paws, and to his horror, realized he had stepped on a few plant shoots. Having seen plants only once before, he only had a vague idea of them and to him, they seemed like a faraway thought instead of a real object. But now, seeing the frail reeds, he felt a strange connection to them, and returns frequently to check their progress. So far, none of the plants have risen past his head, as the radioactive decay have slowed their growth. However, Gatsby remains ever hopeful that his shoots of vegetation will flower and bring some true beauty back into the world.

Story: He was in him room when *Bang!* the room exploded! He sat in the ash and rubles. He was determined to rebuild it. It was such a detailed room. His bed, hanging from the ceiling. His clothing, stacked against the wall. Magic~unreplacable. He was able to rebuild the room, but not the magic that made the room "his."
