What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

++Reason for choosing the name

Ocean Waves perfectly fits him/her to me. Also in honor of my passed away goldfish. I love this mutato's beach theme and thought the name Ocean would be good. Then I changed it to Ocean Waves, the. Used google translate to turn it into κύματα του ωκεανού.

κύματα's favorite item has to be her/his photo album. The front is decorated with shells and coral. Inside, it has pictures of her/him and her/his family. Mostly pictures of them at Teh beach or near water. There is one picture that κύματα saved form being swept away by the ocean. It is a bit smeared but she/he loves it anyways. This is her/his favorite picture.

++Favorite activity to do at the beach

Defiantly competitive floatie racing! Where they each get 1 floatie and a paddle and try to race to the shore after being pushed out into the ocean by the currents. This was started accidentally when κύματα went out without her parents into the ocean and got taken my a current. She was scared, but made it into a game.

++Reason for choosing the name Well my mind was on that really tasty candy.... Okay...okay I'll be serious. I guess the reason is, is that I really like that name. It seems so calm and reassuring, it's a happy name. Do you get what I mean?

Personality: This Mutato is all for adventure. It loves exciting and thrilling activities, and always loves trying new things. It's focused on having fun, and living life to the fullest.

Reason for choosing the name: The scale-like design of the Mutato's body reminds me vaguely of medieval knight armor. I also chose it as a play on words almost, because his body is a color similar to night blue (get it? Knight- night? Yeah, never mind, kinda sounds stupid;) ) I also just like the name Knight. It sounds classy and chic in a way.


Mutato's favorite item: This Mutato's favorite possession is a small necklace with a shiny green-blue fish scale on it. 'He' found it on a beach late at night when he was scuba diving.

I chose this name because of his favorite item/ story, see below:

He once found a rusty golden key while roaming around, and it is now his most prized possession. Even though it has no history or background to him, he loves it because he has felt stuck in a lonely, dark, corridor his whole life. He has found no purpose, he feels overlooked, and is rarely seen smiling. The rusty golden key gives him hope: since there are keys out of dark, lonely corridors, there must be keys of hope and happiness out of depressing lives. Every time he feels like crying or lashing out, he just cuddles his key a little tighter, and dreams of a better tomorrow.
