What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Third mutatoe. Having a bit of trouble coming up with ideas for these, but I like how this one turned out.

Name of Mutato:
Synde (Pronounced - Sind)

Reason for choosing that name:
Syndetheíte means "connect" in Greek, and the word where Synde's name comes from. This name symbolises the connection and eternal struggle between night and day. One would not exist without the other, and so they're forced to live side by side but never do they meet. Along with this the name also symbolises the connection between all things living under the sky, plants, animals... fungi... bacteria. Yes bacteria, disgusting as you may make it out to be is part of the world we live in.

Do I prefer day or night?:
I am a little torn between the two, part of it is because to the naked eye I seem like a creature of the day. Without revealing too much about myself - I have red hair, and that white skin that most red heads have, and I was afraid of the dark until I was 7. But since then I have become more accustomed to the night and have come to like it, and while I am a red head, my favourite colour is blue. Night time gives people a chance to hide and be alone, a lot of people hate being alone, I constantly search for it, there are barely a handful of people who have the power to bring my out of solitude. So it seems to me, that while my appearance makes me look a certain way, on the inside I am actually something completely different. I may be a red head, and I may be lightly coloured, but without hesitation I would say that I prefer the night.

Lucina is a Latin name meaning "Light". Though it was originally pronounced loo-CHEE-nah I would pronounce it like loo-SEE-nah like Lucina from the game Fire Emblem Awakening (which is the second reason for the name).

○ Day or NIght? ○
Day, end of story. Though I love the cool air and beautiful stars and lights of night, the morning light is better to me. I love the feel of the sun on my skin and and light it provides. You are able to do so many things just because of a single star. One of my favorite things about day time is the rising and setting of the sun. The magnificent hues of the sky the appear for only minutes is awe inspiring. The oranges and yellows, the reds and the purples, and mixed together like a masterpiece painted on the sky every morning and evening. The light of day is why it is my favorite over night.

Because this mutato is based off of both day & night, it seemed perfect. A sun in the middle of the night.
Day or Night?
I prefer both, actually. It's much quieter at night than in the day, and even more peaceful. The stars are also pretty and so is the moon. But the day is beautiful, as well; the sun is bright and cheery, warming up the earth and giving it life. The clouds are puffy white, and it is fun to try to discern shapes out of them. It's much warmer in the daytime, and I prefer warm over cool. It's also a little scary at night, you know? It's so dark, you aren't sure what is hiding in the shadows. Plus using a flashlight makes it even more creepy, as it reminds me of those horror movies.

name: Nǐ hǎo, I am Zhòuyè (Chinese for day and night)
Reason for the name: I named him Zhòuyè, because his design reminded me of old Chinese and Japanese paintings, for example:

Which do it like better? Day or night?: I would have to say night, although it might seem well,scary, think of all the good times you have had at that time: Warm winter nights at the fireplace, glowing fireflies, stargazing, fireworks, camping, seeing shooting stars......and the list goes on. I think that the night is beautiful, and has many amazing things to show.....

Reason for choosing that name: I mentioned below that I love the night, so, when I saw this lady, I thought of moonlight. Her name should be Moonlight, I thought in my mind, so I named her moonlight, because it fits her looks, and reminds me of the night. I also named her Moonlight, because one of my rabbit gave birth to a black kit when it was night and the moon was full and shinning, I planned on naming the kit Moonlight, but sadly it didn' survive with it's sister.
Whether you prefer day or night: I prefer the nightime better, since it is much cooler, and not that hot. And the moon is really beautiful, the stars are so sparkly too. At night, it is slient and peaceful, and the wind blows gently. It is amazing at night.

++Reason for choosing the name -- Sonata is a a Music term, I know, but this little guy here reminded me of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I that Sonata look fitting, even though it is not really night or day themed name!
+Whether I prefer day or night -- Honestly? I normally say I prefer night... Night just seems so peaceful, and when you stay up by yourself at night you don't have others constantly talking and making noise just... a pleasant silence, with distant sounds of nature { Or the city } In the background. Daytime, however has it's own beauty to it, but I have to say night. Not because the darkness that people normally see as "Gloomy" Or even "Evil"- But the serenity.

++Reason for choosing the name; When i saw this design, my mind immidetaly went in active mode as if to try and find the end of the design. You see, my brain jsut works that wya. Like, when I'm reading a book or lookign in a dictionary, my eyes will travel through the spaces between the words liek a amze, until I reach the bottom of the page. I think that this little guy should have the same problem, ebcause I think ti would be cute for him <3
+Whether you prefer day or night; Definitely night. During the day I work and have to send time with y annoying siblings, while at night I can either sleep and relax my tired body, or stay up late doing whatever I wan without people intruding or bothering me unless I wan them too.
