What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Her name is inspired by the Greek word "εξερευνήτρια" which means "female explorer". I'm Greek and therefore, I believe that a Greek-inspired name whould be more suited for this girl rather than an English one. She just feels a lot closer to me if she has a Greek name.

℘ｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ?:
Neetree is kind and gentle, but she is a loner. She prefers travelling all by herself rather than being with other mutatoes and staying in one place. She is very curious and she questions everything. Her biggest joy is to fly upon the sea, watching the boats and sea animals beneath her. She can be quite agressive if someone tries to get between her and a big adventure. She is brave and daring towards danger but quiet and shy towards other living creatures. She has a soft spot in her heart for birds. She loves watching them flying next to her and she sometimes joins them.

Neetree lives nowhere and everywhere. She rests wherever she finds herself at night. She's an explorer, so she travels everywhere. You can find her above the sea, in a cave, on a tree, even in a hole in the ground. She doesn't have a permanent home. But when she feels too tired, too lonely, too messed up.... well this is when she returns to the place she loves more in this world, a place as closer to a home as it can get. A big rock in a beach. It is located in an empty island in the Mediterranean, too small to be inhabited. It is just a big, sharp, grey rock which is half in the water. This is where she goes to relax and rest after a long period of travelling and exploring. She loves travelling of course; but there are some times when she just wants to be somewhere cosy and familiar; a place she can call "home".

Ֆｈｏｒｔ ｓｔｏｒｙ:
Neetree was flying above the sea. She could feel the cool breeze on her face. She looked down, seeing the unbelievable depth of the ocean. The mutato smiled slightly and flew faster. Now, she could see little islands coming out of the sea; with their green, brown and grey colors standing out. the water wasn't as dark blue as before; now it was closer to green. Her anticipation grew. And there was it. The smaller island around, with its little forest and its golden beach. She landed on her rock and closed her eyes. She was home.

++R e a s o n f o r c h o o s i n g t h e n a m e it's my own version of the latin word repperio, meaning to find or to discover. i thought this would be fitting because of the compass rose on her design, she's clearly one that travels far and wide to discover new things.

+P e r s o n a l i t y Repia's rather adventurous, and she has an eye for hidden gems in the landscape. she can spot a mysterious island or an unexplored cave in the blink of the eye. perhaps she's a bit brash at times, she'll often put her travels ahead of other people, but hey, it's all in the name of discovery, right? she feels she's doing the right thing by going out and searching for new places, she always tries to report her findings if there's anything noteworthy, but that really isn't the reason she travels as she does. she does it for the thrill of walking on the ground no other mutato's even set foot on, she does it for the praise the scientists give her when she retrieves and item for them that helps them advance in their research.

+W h e r e d o e s s h e l i v e ? mostly Repia lives on the seas, in whatever ship she's managed to commandeer for for her latest adventure, but she does have a home by the shores of her hometown. It's a little hollow she dug out as a little potatoling, basically, but over the years she's dug deeper and deeper into the dirt, so now her little hole has two seperate rooms, and a wooden door up top covers by a squishy layer of moss.

Name of Mutato: If I won her I'd call her Karta meaning Map in Sewdish.

Reason For Name: Karta was always a good tracker. It's like she had a map for a brain.
Everywhere she went, people admired her skill and soon named her mapa de la vida, meaning map of life.
Well on her journey across the world she stopped in a remote Sewdish village. The towns people in that village
where terrified for a reason Karta could understand,
They didn't have maps!
A silly excuse to most but allow me to explain. The Maps were important to the town's people because all
the markets were out of town. So Karta used her tracking sense to locate the markets and then she drew maps
to give to the town's people. They were so happy, they made a statue and named her, Karta, The Map of Life.

Gender:Female.

Personality: Helpful, Caring, Kind, Daring, Curious, Loud, Neat, Creative, and Artistic are the characteristics of this Mutato as well as adventurous. She is Friendly too, and outstanding tracker. Her skill is advance as when lost she can tell when in south,east, north, or west. Her "curious" face is often spotted when one talks about the things they did in Ohio, or when they went to the African Savanna. She does the face when hearing about certain land she hadn't though of visiting and didn't read about yet.
Yes she reads too. It's important for her to know about the country so she knows what to expect.

Where does she live: She explores the world so she usually stays in hotels or on The Gallion, Her uncle's ship.
You see there's only one place to her that's truly home and that's in her heart, where all the good things belong.
But for now she enjoys Elem Forest. The place where she began to find out what she wanted to do and who she wanted to be.
The place where in fall the multicolored leaves crunched below, the treetop silently wobbled back and forth as if the wind wanted to bend them. And as the treetops moved across the sky you catch a glimpse of birds flying south to a place far away only to return when the cycle continues into spring. This is home.

Story: Your outside one night on the deck of your boat that's dock at the harbor. ~Tomorrow~ You think~I'll be heading to Africa. I can't wait.~ As your admiring the stars, you hear the pitter patter of feet on the harbor. As you look down you Notice it's a Mutato:
You shout"Hey you shouldn't be out so late!" "Sorry!" It shouts back." I just got here, I'm looking for a place to sleep, know one?'
"Sorry, I don't." *Ding* it hits you. "You can stay here if you'd like! I've got an extra bed on board!" "That's so nice! Thank you!
I sometimes sleep on my uncle ship, and I find it's so relaxing when the boat rocks.".

" Because you helped them those villagers repayed you with a statue and a name?"
"Yep"
" So your name is Karta?" you ask."Yes indeed, and I'm looking for a partner to travel with. I've been so lonely at times. If I had a partner who shares an interest in adventure like I do I wouldn't be lonely anymore."
