What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Reason:

Prometheus gifted fire to humanity; it was this very act that allowed man to progress. To fulfill their potential and grow into intelligent beings. The trickster is well known for his act and paid the price for it. Scattered throughout long hours, the name for this Mutato finally revealed itself to me through torturous research. From rainbows to felines to fire and mythology, I had finally settled on Pramathyus for the very reason that it is exotic and inspires his personality. Prometheus has its own meaning, though where words and names derive is always a battle among linguists. I took the research and found one theory to say it comes from the root "pra math" (to steal), and it is noted that pramathyu-s itself correlates with "thief". Link that root with the name Promethus, who is known as the thief of fire, and it fits. Plus, it is more fun to say and original for my tastes in names Among the list and research I made to find something that fit, I like the idea of a mischievous Mutato, or just one that loves to gorge itself on the UV rays, and had to have some link to fire as well as something that sparks the attention in the same way that its vibrant design does.

I'm also obsessed with fire, so yeah... had to have some fiery origin.


Favorite barbecue food and why:

My mouth always waters thinking of my mother's barbecues back home. It makes me dreadfully homesick, especially since we had them so often and it has now been exactly 4 years since I moved across the country away from these delicious monthly barbecues. And if there is one thing that I always demand to have, it is my large cut of skirt steak, cooked over the coals (not gas) barbecue, just enough to cook the outside and medium rare in the center. Still juicy, seasoned only with sea salt prior to placing on the grill. Eat that with some Argentinan chimichurri and... I'm starving and want steak now

Definitely will try to add a little something else if I can to my form, I am shamefully not as creative as others can be. For now I will sulk with my mouth watering, cause finishing this made me hungry and homesick XD

... I may be confused as to whose fav BBQ food it should be, mine or Pramathyus. Though how could anyone NOT love a juicy piece of med-rare (or just rare) steak?

Pramathyus is everything that the basic myth suggests: champion of humanity, trickster, thief... Oh, he loves humanity; they are deliciously gullible, naive, and fun to mess with. Pride and gluttony and only some of his sins. He spends as much time as possible in the skies, eating to his content and flashing fiercely for everyone to see him. And then he hunkers down somewhere below in the most inconvenience of places, wherever would be trouble for someone.

I named this pretty boy after a fire bender from one of my favorite shows, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The moment he truly discovered his purpose and why being given power over fire was a gift and not a curse was when the final two dragons alive on their planet showed them the true beauty of fire and all the colors it holds. His nickname is Zuzu, but I'm really the only one who calls him that.

Favorite Barbeque Food;;
Finger-lickin' ribs, mmm. Zuko is always grabbing for the ribs, they are absolutely delicious to him. He loves the savory sauces people use when making them differently, he loves when they experiment. The messiness is the best part, as well as eating it off a bone that you can lick for every last morsel.

Palette

Reason for choosing the name;;

I chose the name Palette because, though I do see a light/fire design, I also see an artistic vibe to the patterns. I see artistic techniques and an inspired sketch in the patterns. It might be just the artist side of me talking at this point, but I feel like Palette is truly the best name for this one.

Favorite barbecue food;;

Palette's favorite barbecue food happens to be a nice, smoking rack of babyback ribs complete with a side of sweet potato fries. He enjoys this food because of the mess you can get when trying to eat ribs. He may not seem like it, but Palette really loves to make messes.

Extra: Personality;;

Palette is a messy and playful guy who loves to mess around, but often forgets to clean up himself or the messes he makes. He loves the vibe you get from a messy scene, seeing the artistic side to practically everything. He loves to "create" things out of the messes he makes, though he is usually the only one who can see his own brilliance. He also enjoys sitting by a fire and relishing in the warmth of it, especially with his favorite food to devour Though he has a messy streak and can be a bit of a pain at times about it, Palette is a lovable Mutato and great company.

Reason for choosing the name
The name Benzin Spectro means Gasoline and Spectrum in German. I figured that without the gasoline you cant start the flames so whats the point in not naming him after the past and not the present? I chose the Spectro part because spectrum can have something to o with both light and colors so i thought it fit perfectly

Favorite barbecue food and why
Benzin is not very fond of actual Barbecue so how about his favorite food on the grill? Well he doesnt like to cook normal things on the grill so you might be surprised when i say pancakes. His loves to put foil on the grill and mix up some colorful pancakes (Strawberry, blueberry or chocolate chip) and throw them on the buttered foil. He likes them nice and fluffy and insists that they have to be colored with food dye. After they are finished he likes to cover them in syrup, fruity pebbles, and pop rocks! The reason he likes to grill so much is well.. he likes sugar! He did once tell me that he liked to look at the clue and orangish yellow flames underneath the silver foil, and of course the colors in the pancakes also, but he never does get too distracted because he doesnt want to burn the color out of the pancakes!
