What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Amaya is an Arabic name meaning "night rain." It has always been one of my favorite names.

Amaya, in fact, likes nearly the opposite of night rain- she likes sunshowers. You know, those times when the sun is still out, and yet the clouds still release all of those little droplets? She thinks that it's like a natural wonder, and the air just seems so happy and the mood energetic. She loves being able to fly in the rain without risking getting hit by lightning or blown away, along with being able to see where she's flying. Though it makes it more humid, she doesn't mind too much. Still, the biggest reason that she likes sunshowers is because they have the highest chance to make rainbows. Amaya loves the colorful ribbon stretching across the sky as she flies, bright and majestic and beautiful. She loves how they seem to brighten up anyone's day, and stops people and mutatoes in their tracks to stare at the wonderful event. In her mind, sunshowers are an amazing natural phenomenon.

What kind of things do you like to do?

Hmm... I love flying, and storm watching, and playing, and racing, and talking, and meeting new mutatoes.. I like a lot of stuff!

Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?

Definitely an extrovert. I like all sorts of mutatoes, and talking to them and meeting them and going pl;aces! It's hard and not fun to play or hang out with yourself, after all. Friends are really nice to have, and lots of 'em!

Do you have any nicknames?

I have a few. The ones that are shortened from my name are May, Amy, and Aya. They aren't used too much, because my name is short enough as it is! The ones that are not based on my name are Bubble, Rainy, and Droplet. Bubble came from my "bubbly" personality, Rainy from my looks and my love of weather and storms, and Droplet from the same as Rainy.

What are you afraid of?

It's embarrassing, but... I'm mostly afraid of the dark! I hate not seeing and running in to things. It's really creepy and freaky and gives me the chills... I am also very scared of floods and stuff, even though it's caused by rain a lot of the time.

++Reason for choosing the name i chose the name because it means "lying between the earth and the moon or the moon's orbit"
this mutato reminded me of how beautiful and lovely the moon looks during a thunderstorm, peeking through the dark and opaque
clouds. the moon doesnt have to try to be noticed through a storm, because of how illuminated it is. the rain and the moon work harmoniously to create such an amazing environment.
+Mutato's favorite weather lunate's favorite weather is when lightning and dark storm clouds come together to create a terrific show of light and dark. she will often stand high on cliffs and in open spaces so that she may have the pleasure of witnessing the thin streaks of light and feeling the heavy drops of rain. she will only stay in places where the moon shines brightly, as well, which makes the storms she watches an entirely new spectacle. lunate also favors the rainier times of day because she blends in with the rain when it falls, due to her semi-opaque gas patterns. lunate is a strange one, she is.
+Personality lunate is very much liked by the mutato community. she keeps to herself but also doesn't mind asking others for help or when she is in need of something. she has few close friends, and she gets her happiness knowing that people care about her. she isn't very smart, but she understands basic emotions, phrases, and other basic necessities for a communal life. many would describe lunate as a sort of hidden mutato. she is seen on occasion, and only when the sun is shining. otherwise, she spends her time alone, in the darkness of the rain and sparkle of the moon.

His favorite weather is when it's cloudy.

Ever since he was little, he had been afraid of his and everyone else's shadow.
He still believes that shadows are evil spirits that can cause great harm, and he is too terrified to look at them. Whenever the sun comes out and his shadow grows larger, he quickly finds a place to hide in the dark, where the shadows can't get him.
His parents noticed his strange behavior early on, so they named him Hinata, hoping that one day their little son will one day be able to 'face the sun'.
