What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

My reason for choosing this name was because of its meaning. I love the design that makes up her tail, for it reminds me of cotton candy, so that's why I have named her Aili because it is a German name meaning "sweet". I also like the simplicity of this name, and how it is unique but not unimaginably long. I feel it fits her well.

These two are fraternal twins, meaning the can be very different in appearance (and they are), as well as gender (which differs also). Aili's brother is just a few minutes older than her, and he holds it high as his mark of superiority over her.

Reason: Sounds sorta dark, but it's really not. The colors and designs in the tail remind me of arteries, and veins. A heart really, and the body reminds me of surgery, scalpels, stitches, surgical steel in general. So naturally, she reminds me of open heart surgery c: And after the surgery, come the sutures. Not a bad thing in my mind really. More of healing, and improving. ^^
Relation to number 20: Number twenty is her older brother. c:

the second i saw her, i though of the song "strawberry avalanche" by owl city.
her body pattern is like an avalanche, gray stones mixed in with the snow.
and her tail like strawberries and cotton candy.
