RPW #7 - Mushoku

Postby Zeneka » Fri Apr 12, 2013 4:35 am

A normal-eared, curly-tailed RPW with the power of black paint! Making this one somewhat rare since white, greys, and black paints are rare in the species. However, this one is even more special because... it is color blind! This RPW can only see in black and white, no color at all, poor thing.

To adopt, fill out the following form:
Code: Select all
Name:
Sex:
How do they feel about their color-blindness and how does it affect them? Tell me how this critter feels about being color blind in a species full of natural artists and how it affects them and their art style. Be interesting and original! This is the main part I will be judging on~

Will end after 5 forms.

How do they feel about their color-blindness and how does it affect them? Well, since he can't see colour, he's never really thought about it. He looks at art in greyscale, well the whole world actually. If you've grown up colourblind, you never really think about the world with colour, and vice versa, so he's not really bothered. He does wonder what it might be like to see colours for once, though.

Mushoku

Name: Mushoku
Sex: Female
How do they feel about their color-blindness and how does it affect them? At first, it confused Mushoku that others could see stuff that she couldn't. But, she could see things they couldn't. This, helped her alot, making her feel special inside. She personally thing it makes her unique, special in her own way. As they say, no two snowflakes are alike.

Her colour-blindness only effects her seeing, right? But, in a way effects her painting. Since she can only see texture and shades, Musho can't judge the colouring accuracy of her painting and since black is her only colour available, wolfs think her work is cold and heartless. A black rose, a dark sun. Therefore she hides her pieces from stray eyes.

Name: Anjun (Taken from Anjana, which means gray in complexion)
Sex: Male

Tell me how this critter feels about being color blind in a species full of natural artists and how it affects them and their art style. Be interesting and original! This is the main part I will be judging on~ Anjun doesn't mind it- he was taught how to sort out the grays as a pup, and learned their names, and how light they are. (To Anjun, yellow is almost white, while blue is a very dark gray.) He loves the grayness that blue-green has to his eyes, and tries incorporating it into his paintings. His style is much like any other RPW, except that he may get a bit messy at times (such as when red-orange looks like red, and yellow-green looks like yellow to his eyes).

Name: Louis
Sex: Male
How do they feel about their color-blindness and how does it affect them? Louis has never experienced the phenomena of color, so he is unable to know exactly what pleasure he is missing from the world, having never seen color before. He's often left in thought of what defines a 'color'; what it really is. What does "red" mean to the average naked eye? Even though he knows nothing about what he's at a loss for, he still does feel as though a small piece of himself is missing. Through different tones-- (though not colors) Louis experiences the other Rainbow Paint Wolves' masterpieces and admires their creativity. He has taken an exceptional liking to things traditionally expressing sadness and bearing black and white. Something that interests and inspires him most is mimes. He spends hours using them as his paint subjects, and he enjoys painting them with various expressions bearing emotions such as fear, pain, and confusion. Louis's style is heavily affected by his color-blindness. In addition to painting mimes, his style is monochrome, sadistic, and abstract.

Name: Adrian- it is a name that means dark.
Sex: Male
How do they feel about their color-blindness and how does it affect them?
Adrian does not feel too left out from the others, since he has no idea what color is really like, but when Adrian sees them speaking about the beautiful color and mixing shades, he can't help but feel left out. Truly he doesn't mind it and finds his own ways to benefit from his disability- for example, he paints a very gorgeous, unique type of painting. Since he only sees in grays, he gets the colors that seem to be the same gray that he sees. The shades come very naturally to him as he paints and he doesn't have to worry about mixing colors. However, even though he sees the paintings as gray, the other wolves do not. To them, the paintings are filled with many different, random colors. The trees are orange and blue and the sky is green. Even though it seems odd, it is quite beautiful and abstract.

Congrats to Pokechu. I really loved everything in your explanation about how her color-blindness affects her, from how she copes with knowing she's different to the fact that she is shy about her art because it comes off as cold and heartless to others. Take good care of Mushoku!

Thank you to everyone else who participated and I hope you keep trying!
