Rivkah, you probably don't know me though. c:
name;;
his name would be Bromeliad.
this is a rainforest flower that is popular
outside the forest because it can survive
in the southern United States. It blooms
once in its lifetime before dying and has
a high tolerance for drought. The flower
is purple with chartreuse or yellow
leathery-textured foliage. The edges of
its leaves are very sharp and because of
this and the fact it sounds so smexy and
masculine, I thought it would be the
perfect name. c:
gender;;
male c:
favorite food and why;;
As he is a lover of the rainforest, he
loves passionfruit above all.
All his life he has been obsessed with
all things rainforest, as he has
gotten great inspiration for it from
the macaw feathers passed down
from his parents and his own green
foliage markings. Once he had
tasted passionfruit he knew he
would never go back. ^-^
I, Rivkah, promise to be active on the FC Kia Website

Oh how it was wonderful to be visiting the rainforest!
The trip was long and hard, but it was well worth the grueling travel on his paws. His red eyes peered around as he surveyed the large leaves all around him and above him, and the sun shining through the canopy layer of trees. A macaw squawked angrily at a toucan and the toucan cried out, flapping its wings back as they snapped at each other, curved beaks fighting over a passionfruit. Licking his lips, Bromeliad smirked as the passionfruit snapped off its bought and landed right at his feet. He gobbled it up, much to the birds' dismay. The toucan squawked reproachfully, and the macaw followed suit before they both took off, going to their separate nests on different levels of the rainforest trees.
"Ha ha, too bad," the Kiamara thought to himself as he pranced about on his paws, savoring the fruit's juice as he licked it from his maw. Inadvertently he turned, only to come face to face with a tree frog. He grinned at it, playfully batting his paw at it mischievously. The frog cheekily croaked at him, its suction toes latching onto his paw. "Hey get offa me!" the Kiamara wailed in his thoughts as he shook his paw violently to get the frog off of him. This sent the tree frog flying, and it landed safely back on the smooth bark of the tree, croaking as if to say, "That'll teach you!"
Snorting softly to himself, the dark male continued on, the musical rainforest sounds echoing around him. Exotic bird calls, raindrops dripping off the leaves in a rhythm thanks to a recent rain, frogs croaking and even the distant sound of a leopard stalking in the foliage. Thankfully, though, as he swiveled his ears around, he could tell it wasn't close. They usually avoided each other, but he just wasn't in the mood at the moment to come face to face with one. The tree frog had been humiliating enough, thank you very much.
Bromeliad smirked softly to himself again, shifting his weight from paw to paw excitedly. He hadn't been able to come here for years, and now he was finally arriving to his wonderful haven, the paradise he called the rainforest! He was so giddy he could barely stand it, and before he could help himself, he took off, joyously bounding with his feet drumming against the soft, moist ground and kicking up rich, brown dirt. His tongue lolled out like a common domestic canine and he was grinning from large ear to large ear. He was so pleased with himself that he ran until he could run no more, stopping only at a clear, burbling stream. He lapped at it, panting, and flopped down, the roots of a large tree making a nice makeshift bed for him to rest at. "Phew, that was awesome!" he thought to himself, lounging against the soft bark of the tree trunk.
This was already shaping up to be a good day. He couldn't wait for what was next.
The air was thick and humid, but had a fresh atmosphere to it that he enjoyed immensely. More than happy to sniff the air, his ears flicked back and forth as he caught the scent of several exotic flowers, like passion flowers and the very plant he was named for - Bromeliad. He smiled to himself, stretching out. He could hear many types of birds in the trees and watched a few multicolored macaws flying about the skies. He grinned, pleased, taking another moment to rest before he finally yawned and got to his feet.
Casually he began to walk, padding with his four feet silent against the rich rainforest soil. It all smelled earthy and wet, and he frankly adored this. It was so... lively here and no part of the rainforest seemed to be still, not even the trees. As a breeze came, the winds rustled with their tree songs and he paused a moment to try and identify the types of leaves. He gasped, shaking out his coat and blinking with a snort as some waxy leaves deposited their loads of water from the recent rain on top of his head. Grumbling, he grinned deviously and continued to explore this place.
"Hmm, where to next?" he muttered to himself, cranium tilting curiously.
With a huff, he grinned mischievously and pawed at the bark of a nearby tree. Tree bark was fun to chew on and good for his teeth, so he figured he'd have a snack. However, his claws scraped something else.
Bromeliad yelped as a green lizard appeared out of nowhere from the bark and launched itself at his face before scrabbling away. The Kiamara fell on his back, paws flailing as he howled in alarm. He then froze as nothing attacked him from then on, and sat up, slinking back with a depressed and embarrassed sigh, glad no other Kiamara had been around to see that. Attacked by a chameleon; how masculine of him.
Rolling his eyes, he sighed softly and scraped once more at the bark, grabbing a big chunk in his maw and settling down with a grunt to chew on it. As he did, his tense jaw muscles relaxed and soon he felt his eyelids growing heavy once his adrenaline was gone from the scare.
Supposing it was time to hit the hay for good, he sprawled out on his side with a yawn, closing his eyes and resting his head down on the earthy forest floor with a smile. His tail flicked about with a smile, before it finally laid still and he settled himself down, senses dulling. Soon he was asleep, more than happy to spend the night in this wonderful forest. Before he fell asleep he was heard almost inaudibly muttering;
"Best day ever."
