Name:
Delilah
I've always found this a beautiful name, and I've been waiting for an adoptable to come out that I could use this name. When i saw her, I immediately said to myself her name will be Delilah.
Personality
Little Delilah is not like the rest of her family. She doesn't like to think of herself as a royal, she's just a regular old fawn. She is rather adventurous, and likes winter sports. She is naturalistic, and watches the snow owl nest right outside in our backyard 24/7. She is rather odd, but that's why I love her <3.

Short Story:
Winter FunEvery child has a moment where their real life is engulfed in imagination. This is Delilah'sThe sunlight reflected off of the frozen tundra. I looked up at the enormous mountain that I had to climb. Well, better to get it done sooner than later. After all, didn't the tour guide say that this would be fun?I shuffled my hooves in the snow of the neighborhood park. The hill looked a lot bigger that what Celeste had described. I saw children sitting down on little disk sleds, gliding down the hill like birds. I looked to the tobogan strapped to my back. If they could do it, why can't I?
I passed several skiers and snowboarders as I headed over to the lift. I unstrapped my skis, and snapped them onto my hooves. I glided over to the lift, where a moving chair picked me up. This was going to be Ok.Luz helped me lay down on the long tobogan without falling off. A loosley tied strap was the only thing keeping me and the snow apart. She grabbed onto a long teather, and started to trudge up the hill. "Whoo, Delilah you're heavy!" she said as she stumbled at the base of the hill. This was going to be Ok.
As I was heading up the ski lift, I shook my feet around. The heavy skis clattered and clanged, knocking snow off of them. Suddenly, the wind picked up, and hurled huge chunks of snow at my face. I wiped it off, my face now freezing.I shuffeled my hooves on the wooden tobogan. They felt heavier with the little snow booties Luz had made me. Unfortunately, the only path to the top of the hill was through the middle of a snowball fight. The frozen orbs of snow hit my face like a ton of bricks. I shook my head, hoping to get rid of the snow stuck in between my fur. It was not helpful.
As I neared the top of the slope, I saw the most alarming thing. A skier had fallen down the wrong path, and was now tumbling down the side of the mountain! I gasped as I saw as his skis became detatched from his feet, and he clutched to the side of the mountain for dear life. Ok...maybe I wasn't going to be fine.As we neared the top of the hill, I saw a little boy attempting to sled down the steep slide. He tumbled off of his sled, and sprawled out ofn the side of the hill, I gasped as I saw him start to slide, then tumble down the hill. I started to squirm in my sled. I wasn't so sure if this was a good Idea anymore.
The time I had been dreading had come, as I came within a few seconds to the begining of the slope. I straightened out my legs, and started to bleat. I wasn't so sure about this anymore. But I couldn't go back, and my skis touched the almost iced over snow. I turned, and faced the daunting slope ahead of me. "Here we go." I whispered to myself, and pushed myself into the wind.Luz had finally made it to the top of the hill, when I started to bleat. "Oh, It'll be Ok." she said as she turned my sled around. I could see little children sledding down the hill, and then reaching the bottom. With a sigh, Luz pushed my sled forward enough to get the momentem going. And I was off!
The wind brushed my fur back as I raced down the mountain. My scared frown peaked up into a smile as I started to go faster and faster. I leaned in further and let out a little yell of happiness. Wheeeeeee! The sled lurched forward, and then rocked down the hill. The wind curled my frown into a smile, as the wind blew back my fur. I let out a squeal of excitement. It felt like I was flying! The sled bounced and slided, as I tried to keep my balance. Sledding was fun!
Skiing is fun! I thought as I neared the end of the slope. My speed kept increasing as I screamed "Faster, faster!" Then, it hit me. How was I going to stop at this speed?!? "Slower, slower!" I yelled as the mass of people at the base of the slope came nearer and nearer to me. I shuffled my skis, which seemed to not help at all. As the mass of people came seconds away to me, I went to my last resort for stopping, falling down. I tilted myself to the right, and flopped down onto the snow. Ouch!As I neared the bottom of the hill, I started fretting again. How was I going to stop? The sled went faster and faster, and when I was almost at the bottom of the hill and about to run over Luz... I fell down. The wet snow soaked my face, as I struggled to get back up. Ouch!
When I was finally able to get my skis off, I strapped them together, and headed back to the lodge. A nice hot cup of cocoa would prove to be the perfect end to a somewhat perfect day. Somewhat...As we were riding back hope, Luz said she would make me a nice hot cup of cocoa. Yes! A perfect end to a perfect day. Somewhat...
