Story:
A small egg sits in the midst of a frosty, moss covered forest...
It is early in the days first light, and the forest silent and still, save a small darkly speckled bird peering at the egg with interest, before fluttering away. A small dragon, Kirio by name, stirred inside the egg, all about her, she could feel the smooth walls of her containment. Feeling a bit desperate, as if there was to be no escape, she scratched at the shell, hoping for, well, she wasn't sure what exactly she was hoping for, but she thought it must be good to hope, in the very least. On the outside of the egg, as is evident by the 3 tiny cracks in the bright surface that gave way to darkness, it was clear that Kirio had hit a weaker spot in the slightly thinned shell. Suddenly, as the first golden rays of sun come streaking across the horizon, a larger crack is made, and out tumbles a small, pink and white dragon. Kirio blinked her purple eyes, not yet accustomed to the bright sun, and released a small squeal, the first sound the forest would hear, as of that day.
The first thing Kirio noticed, was that she was all alone in the vast green around her. She blinked again, then proceeded to coo softly, hoping someone would hear.
In a small hollow, not far to the left of the dragon, two little rabbits sit, one bigger than the other, both of a dark, sandy brown coloration. The smaller one ventures out, presumably to stretch in the morning warmth, or to seek some grass and seeds to munch upon. Ro, a young woodland rabbit, scampered out of his mothers den. He had heard some noises off to the right, and was all to eager to investigate. "You be careful!" his mother, Ki, squeaked, "there could be a fox out there!" Ro rolled his dark eyes, and slowed his pace a bit, now absentmindedly hopping towards the noises. As he got closer to Kirio, he began to catch sight of a curious form, bright pink in color. There, in the clearing! he thought, Maybe it's a flower! If so... It's an awfully big one... As Ro's distance from Kirio decreased, his fear increased, though he had not the mindset to turn back, yet.
Noticing a slight rustling noise, shortly followed by squeaking, Kirio halted in her cooing, and stopped to listen. Who... Or what, just happens to be coming this way? Could they have heard me? Will they.... EAT me?! Thoughts raced through Kirio's mind as she crouched down to get a better view through the thicket.
Ro poked his head through the thicket when he came to it, then squealed in surprise-There, in the large clearing was, of all things, a dragon. In shock, Ro fell backwards, then he ran, faster then his little legs could carry him, all the way back to his home. "Mother! Mother!" He gasped, "yes my little Ro-kuns?" came Ki's response from the hollow. "Mother! I...I saw...", Ro paused, out of breath, "what did you see?" Ki asked calmly, whilst grooming her whiskers, "a DRAGON!" Ro finished excitedly, not sure weather to be afraid, or thrilled at his finding. Ki smiled softly at the evident absurdity of this, "non sense, there hasn't been a dragon in these woods for, well, longer then my father knew!" Ro smirked a bit, "Really? Come see!" and with that, he scampered back to the clearing, followed by his mother.
WIP
I'll continue writing the story after school!
Anyway, enjoy what I have so far! cx
It's okay if the story is longer than 2 paragraphs, right?
