Much like her name. Shy and sweet.
Her name was given to her late, as she reached her 4th year of living. At this age, and even now, she is still a very quiet tastine, and it's shown in eventhing she does. You would have probably met her somewhere small and soft, not wanting to socialize like the others wanted to - that's how I met her.
Shy never wanted to be around people at first, she was the sweetist but her 'fear' of others meant she lost out on a lot of childhood memories. She would hide at parties, so when her 3rd birthday came around I simply couldn't put her through her own party. At the time it torn on me, the fact that she couldn't experience those memories you and I had at birthdays. Bry prefered to sleep or snuggle up next to me, listening to something classical and slow. It was a nice sight but eventually she'd have to socialize.
By her 4th birthday, I choose her name. Shibry, which she didn't understand at first - since before then I'd called her Baby, Sugar and a arrange of other cute names. Still her cute squeals, as she opened her cards and presents, filled me with hope that maybe she'd enjoy some of the next surprises. That was the birthday I invited another tastine around, and their owner of course.
Now that was a sight.
Shy hadn't seen another tastine for about a year after I adopted her. So the look on her face was scared, confused and interested. A strange mix, at least she hadn't run away... yet. From what I remember, I leant next to her stroking the top of her mane gently, whispers of shh, it's okay, then this is Junior into her ear. Her large pink eyes blinked at me, then a squeak escaped her - not high pitched and scared, more so a gentle one that came across as 'I don't know'. Junior, a very unusual white male with darker stripes, made a soft set of grunting noises towards Shibry. I don't know to this day what he said, maybe because I didn't know the little fool personally, but Shibry approached him after that. Shyly but... she actually approached someone that wasn't me.
That was the day I found hope. January 16th 2011, her birthday and her first social act.Bid:
