Story: One day as Ginger was looking for food she came upon the edge of the ice. She started out over the vast space of ocean as the cold arctic wind blew her mane. Then she looked down into the water. She started to wonder what was down there. Suddenly as she was staring into the great blue depths bubbles started to appear. She stared mystified wondering where the bubbles where coming from. Then a black and white bird flew out of the water. Ginger flew back with a cry of surprise. What was this strange creature? Then as she looked around she found that she was surrounded by these strange birds. She lowered her head to get a good sense of what they were when the all started to waddle away. She immediately decided to follow them because where are they going on this large expanse of ice. As she followed the she noticed that they all had little black chinstraps. It made them all look like little soldiers. Then as the came upon the top of a hill she looked out and saw millions of more birds. She stood there to stare as the rest of the birds in her group went down the hill. There where ones that were the same and others that were even smaller then the bigger ones. They must be the babies of this species. She decided she must meet these creatures family. As she walked through them feathers flew up into the air from the ground. Ginger pawed at the feathers as they flew higher and higher into the sky. As she looked up into the sky as the feathers flew above her reach she noticed that the sun was setting. It was time to head home. Ginger decided that she would come back tomorrow to she these small black and white birds that can fly out of the sea.

Fallen tramped carefully through the thick fog and snow, "Blizzards will be coming soon, too soon. The winter storms are uselly months after this season..." She muttered curse words under her breath as she walked. "At least there are no other Kilid's in the area." snorting, she continued to walk through the deep snow. Her Brown Flaxen coat mad her sand out, but only a little, as if someone could see her in that upcoming storm.
"Stop!" roared an oncoming voice.
"Huh, what?" Fallen had questioned, before stepping down onto the ice she looked foreward, seeing black, black. Empror Penguins.
"You, you there!" sceached a male, waddling over. Fallen felt snow, Shallow, I could run, easily! she thought, and stepped forward and agian, one step at a time, until she was galloping, the wind blowing through her mane and tail, although her kind was bulky doesn't mean they aren't faster than a penguin.. "Maybe the snow and blizzards aren't that bad..."

Cherry and the Penguins

One day Cherry was following her herd of Acric Kilids through a harsh snow storm. The snow was so thick she could hardly see and it was matting her beautiful feathers. Suddenly the storm picked up even more and Cherry was forced to stop.

When she woke up the next her herd was gone and she was all alone. Cherry Cried at the top of her lungs but nobody replied. Lost and all alone Cherry wandered through the artic looking for her herd, then one day she herd a sound comming from over snow drifts. Cherry galloped as fast as she could hoping it was her herd. When she reached the top of the snow drift all she saw were thousands of emperor penguins huddled together. She decided to go and join the penguins to see if they had seen her herd. She walked right into the middle of the group of penguins. Suddenly a large male walked up and pecked her in the barrel.

"What are you doing here disturbing our flock?" asked the penguin.

"I was wondering if you had seen my herd." Cherry Replied. The penguin left to talk with the penguin council members.

"One of our members saw them pass through here a day ago." Said the penguin when he finally returned.

"Thank you." said Cherry

"We, the pnguin council, will take you to where we last seen them." Said the Penguin. Cherry followed the penguins intill they led her to a large open tundra. Off in the distance she could make out the shaped of her herd. Cherry whinnied happily.

"Thank you so very much." Cherry said to the peguin.

"No problem," replied the penguin,"good luck and good bye for now." He waved his fliper and waddled away with the rest of the penguin council. Cherry happily gallped down to her herd and was reunited with them one again.

Caramel trotted her usually route. The snow was worn deep there, and her exact hoof prints almost perfect. She snorted, puffs of foggy, white mist emerging from her nostrils. 'Am I really this boring?' She thought to herself. She rouse up, and slammed her hoofs down in the packed snow, and ran fast. She jumped off her usually trail , her hooves pounding against the snow, it flying everywhere. She ran and ran, her muscles rippling. She came to a stop and neighed loudly, with happiness. As she turned around, she began to notice black surrounding her. Adiele penguins. Her mother told her many stories of these, often of them being eaten. She always said they were very dumb creatures. So Caramel just laughed and greeted them, "Well hello, I am Caramel, I am a Kilid, do you know what that is?" She spoke to them like children. They looked very, very scared. "Whats the matter?" She asked wonderingly. She heard a large breathing, and growling sound. She turned around and jumped with surprise. Sea leopard? Yes, it WAS a sea leopard! She snorted, put her ears back and pawed the ground. Though her mother had always said they were the Demon, she still knew, she had to protect these guys. After all, they were pretty cute. She reared up, striking the beast, only to be bit on the ankle. She jumped back. The seal immediately ate a penguin after that, and began to recede. She kicked, and stomped at the seal, but it had a worrying look in its eyes. Caramel screeched in pain as claws dug into her hide quarters. Both the seal, and all penguins splashed in the water. Caramel looked back to find a polar clung to her, ripping out flesh. She managed to kick him, and get in the water. But she couldn't swim. The penguins, however, surrounded her, guiding her through the water. They took her to the other iceberg, and one began to help her as soon as she landed. He put seaweed on the wound, wrapping it. He dried off her fur with snow and ice, and got her to stand. She could limp, but that was it. She stared at these friendly creatures, and said to them, "I may be injured now, but I'll leave. But remember one thing, I will be back" and with that Caramel limped off. The wounds were mostly superficial, and she'd be fine.

Mystic was trotting,then went into a canter.Her feathers moved smoothly with her stride.She soon saw penguins and stopped to watch them.A little penguin went up to Mystic.The little penguin started to go around her then stopped in front of her,he asked,"What are you?Are you a big fat bird or something?"As soon as she heard the little penguin she knew it was just a kid.She laughed and said to the penguin "Im a kilid,I am no bird." Mystic smiled.The penguin said to her,"Oh..."She saw that the penguin felt stupid.Mystic said to the penguin,"Well,whats your name?"
The penguin stayed quiet."You have a name right?"Mystic asked.The penguin said,"Mario"Mystic smiled again,"Mario,a cute name for a cute penguin."Mario smiled and asked "Are you able to stand the cold?" Mystic answered,"Yes,I have lots of fur to be able to live in it"Mario sat down and asked "Can you swim?" Mystic replied,"Not really.." Mario stayed quiet.Mario looked at Mystic and asked,"Will you be my friend?and whats your name?" Mystic smiled,"Why yes I would love to be your friend,Also my name is Mystical Moment..Just call me Mystic for short." Mario heard his mother calling for him and said to Mystic,"I'll see you around Mystic!Bye" Mario waved and Mystic watched as he padded off.Mystic was sure to come back and play with Mario.Mystic cantered off and heard someone calling for help,she turned around and saw that her new friend Mario was in trouble.She saw him sorrounded by artic wolfs.Mystic galloped toward Mario and bucked right by the wolfs.A wolf jumped and bit her neck.She got him off and then one bit her leg,but not hard.She stomped on the wolf and he ran off.there are only 2 wolfs left now.Mystic ran towards one of the wolfs and one bit her leg hard,Mystic struggles to stay on ground.Mystic gets up and fights back and chases the wolfs off.Mystic walks over to Mario,"You okay Mario?" Just as she said that she heard a crowed of penguins cheer.Mystic looked around and saw the penguins.She was happy and Mario hugged Mystic.Mystic knew Mario would always be her friend.Then all of the penguins were soon her friend,but no one could beat Mario.
