for his plans are full of guile.
He'll ask you simply to stay awhile
hiding back his malicious bile.

come back to safety before it's late.

Not like floorboards.... They creak
Bats? No, they "queak"
Then who? Or what? Would make this sound... Some lost spirit? A ghost in fright?
Wait.... It couldn't be a Cerquine, right? A cuter creature never seen
Oh wait... Oh my,Oh Em Gee
A Cerquine appears before my sight, an orange creature of the night
The Demonic horns, the gleaming eyes... The shapes of his teeth are not a surprise....
Beautiful but unpredictable
Gorgeous but deadly.... Will I dare sleep at night?

His claws are sharp,

Down the hall and out the door
you feel no safety anymore

The ground now spins beneathe your feet
you try to sprint out to the street.

The lights go out, there's nobody home
so alone in the dark you must roam.

Your getting tired, you just might scream,
only to wake and find it's just a dream.

The moon is full, the stars are out
there are no monsters out and about.

Now rest your head and relax
there are no ghosts of greys and blacks.

But just to be safe on this Halloween
these words you'll remember after what you've seen.
