~Dox is slightly confused. he is very aloof and is mostly unsure of his surroundings. Being frozen for an extremely long time, he sorta missed out on everything. So now he spends most of his time trying to catch up, and find out what happened during the time he was asleep. He is really book smart because of all the research he has been doing for the last couple of years, but his street smarts are not the best. He enjoys the Punk lifestyle, and likes to prove people wrong when they say he's just a "Dumb emo"~

Why you want to adopt:

Because I don't have any types of characters like this ;o; and his design is natural. Natural colored designs are getting harder and harder to find these days with all the sparkle dogs and other beautiful, multicolored animals. it would be really awesome to see a natural colored Thylacine jumping around getting tons of art ^^ I also love stripes, dots and piercings. he may not have a lot of dots but he sure as heck has a lot of piercings and stripes making him something I just want to snuggle and love ;o; <3

Story:

A lovely morning in 1924, Dox was walking around the Australian mainland, looking for something to eat. It just so happened that at that exact time, a man by the name of Dalton Maddox was on the look out for a Thylacine, he knew that the species was becoming more and more endangered, and he wanted to at least save one. By pure fate, Dox was chasing a small rodent across the small path that Dalton was following. Surprised, Dalton immediately readied his small, home made weapon [that resembled and acted like our modern tranquilizer gun] and shot at Dox, just getting him on his left haunch. Oddly enough, Dox just stood there, until he passed out.

Dalton worked as fast as he could, making sure to collar the creature so if it did escape, he could follow and trap it again. He carried the animal to his jeep, and drove off to his base, letting everyone know that he has caught one and was ready to go home. but first, he had to confirm that this was in fact a Thylacine. After 6 long hours, Dalton knew that this was what he was looking for, but it still looked, different than all of the photos he had seen, still, he readied a flight home and was preparing to leave immediately.

It was an extremely long flight for the marsupial, but he didn't try and get out or escape. Dox had a nagging feeling that he should not be worried, so he listened to his gut, and didn't make a big deal about anything. He watched the man closely, the one who captured him, and instead of seeing greed, or hatred in his eyes like most of the pink things that came and took his kind away, he saw kindness and concern. With this new knowledge, he closed his eyes, and slept the rest of the flight.

When Dalton's plane finally landed in America, he took a train to a small part that no one really knew about, then walked to his lab. It was surrounded by dense forest, so no one ever dared to go into the forest, let alone look for a small lab that no one even knew about in the first place. Dalton took the cage off his jeep, and opened it up, testing the loyalty of the Thylacine, the creature walked out, but didn't move, he just stared up at Dalton, eyes wide with trust. Dalton knew he would have no trouble with the animal. "I should give you a name." he said. "I will name you Dox, after myself, Dalton Maddox." Dalton thought he saw a nod and a smile from Dox. So he walked to the door and opened up his lab, walking inside, and Dox followed.

All day, Dalton had run tests, giving Dox shots, and special pills full of protein and vitamins. He even gave his pet some piercings so he could identify him if he ever caught another Thylacine, and because he could swear that Dox actually liked them. Dox wondered why this man was doing all these things, feeding him, and giving him colorful rocks that gave him energy and made him feel stronger. Even some nice shiny loops and rocks that made him feel handsome. While Dox was lost in thought, Dalton was in the other room, preparing this freezer like machine that would open a long time from now, with food in it, so when Dox woke up, he would eat and wander off into the forest.

By midnight, everything was ready, and Dalton called Dox into the room, he told him to sit in the cylinder, and Dox listened.
Dalton talked to his pet, he even teared up because he did not want to leave a beautiful creature alone, he was scared that the machine would malfunction and Dox would be stuck in it forever, or even die. But he knew it was just a chance he had to take if he wanted at least one Thylacine to maybe survive. He hugged Dox, and cried as he spoke "You will go to sleep very soon Dox, and when you wake up, I want you to leave here and go to find another one of your species if there are any left. I want people to find you so that you will be put away and kept safe for my great grand children to see. I know you can do that, and I wish you good luck."
With that, he closed the door, and turned the machine on. As Dox fell asleep, he put his paw on the glass and promised he would make this man proud.

Many years later, the lab was long forgotten, everything was in ruins because after the scientist died, there was no one to keep the lab in shape. But from the wreckage emerged a strange looking creature, He was light brown with dark brown and white markings, he has a special tracking bracelet on his back left leg that no longer worked, and piercings on his face. This creature knew, that the world had long changed while he was a sleep. But he still knew what to do, and he started his long journey, finding his way out of the forest...
