Why do you want to adopt?I've always loved phoenixes when I was younger which would be why my fursona is half phoenix. Even though my birth element is water due to my horoscope being Cancer, my friends have always told me my spirit or my personality was more fiery and bright. Due to this I felt as if this little guy would be perfect for someone like me, and I felt another male would do good since Murphy who is my other rat looks like he would love another male to help him out around his farm. I also really loved the amazing edits ~*Oddly Shaded*~ had made for this ratlet! It was truly breath taking, and the idea for wings instead of front arms was just genius! Most people would have just put wings on the back and call it a day but it amazed me how far ~*Oddly Shaded*~ took this rat, keep up the wonderful work! <3

Personality(Likes, dislikes, how they react to people, other rats, etc.)Feng is a bit of a mystery at times. He did after all come from a mysterious petshop, when I bought him I was warned that he at times had a bad habit of bursting into flames if he was upset or when he was about to renew himself. I found that a bit strange at first until the shop owner told me that Feng is not just a rat but a phoenix as well. Thats when I noticed he had wings and my first mistake was opening the bird like cage he was kept in, that made me see his mischievous side. Feng flew off to the ceiling of the shop and refused to come back down but after bribing him with some sweets he came back down, but only for the chocolate covered strawberry that I offered him. He didn't seem to like strangers very much, in fact the first time I met him I tried to pet him but he bit my hand or would burst into flames. I'm glad he does not do that anymore or my hand would have been covered with bite scars.
I also learned to keep him on a strict diet, though a few chocolate covered strawberries once in a while never hurt him. At most he seemed to enjoy eating meats like chicken, turkey, and duck or lamb which were his favorites. He cannot eat cretin fruits or vegetables such as watermelons, lettuce, or even celery due to the high amounts of water in them which can cause Feng a nasty tummy ache but some berries or stuff like cooked mushrooms didn't seem to bother him. Feng also seemed to enjoy eating many types of seeds such as pumpkin, sunflower, and even soybeans.
When Feng gets bored he seems to let himself out of his own cage! I never doubted his intelligence but even to this day I couldn't figure out how he lets himself out. He also enjoys keeping me company when I watch movies or tv late at night and when I would read my books I find him on my shoulder peeking at my book. Thankfully he didn't set my books on fire, I think its because he likes them as much as I do.
Quirks(Little things like "Enjoys sleeping on her back", "Loves hoarding candy wrappers", etc.)I can easily say Feng has many quirks ever since I got him. I was told he has a random sleeping pattern but boy was that an understatement! Feng ends up sleeping through the mornings and he would wake up in the afternoons. At first I found that to be weird until I watched him one night and saw he did not sleep until the sun had risen. This was strange to me since I thought phoenixes where daytime creatures but then again Feng is one of a kind. He also has a strange habit of screeching when ever I play music which is why I recently had to start using ear buds or headphones. This other time I found him surrounding himself in burning coals before sleeping, whenever he slept I found him covered in ashes because of this but he easily cleans himself by bursting into flames thankfully. I guess him and baths just don't mix which I don't blame him for, he is part phoenix after all.
Pick one 'quirk' that I will edit into her/his informationThe one quirk I would love seeing in his information would be the one where he surrounds himself with burning coals to sleep.
What do you plan on doing with your rat(Roleplay, Make art of, Hoard art of, etc.)Well I really wanted to have him in this roleplay based off this favorite anime of mine called "Petshop of Horrors." Feng really looks suited for the anime and him being part phoenix adds to it! I would love having him bond with Murphy too, I know he would be extremely helpful around the farm since he can burn the unwanted stuff or old buildings to make room for new things. I'm sure Feng would be a perfect addition to the family! He will never be denied the love and attention he deserves <3

Story (Disclaimer! I do not own any characters from "Petshop of Horrors" nor do I own it even though I wish I did, this story was made purely for entertainment proposes/ I only own my OC's)It was another bright and sunny day as always, lately the city seemed to have heat waves just rushing through but it didn't stop most of the people from heading to the beach or having some outdoor fun with family and friends. I on the other hand preferred to stay indoors but that day seemed to be a bit different then all the other days. For once my friend had called me in the afternoon, requesting that I go shopping with her but truthfully it was more like she demanded me. All I was able to catch was her complains of how I keep myself cooped up inside all day and how I'll end up as pale as a vampire someday. The thought made me laugh, pale as a vampire. I could never see myself that pale, I wasn't dark but the sun tan I gotten from when I was a child followed me into my teenage years and I was not eager to let it get any darker.
So after a while longer my friend, a hyper active person who had a far more better social life then I could ever dream to achieve came to pick me up. I was a bit curious about some of the stores in the area she dragged me too but I couldn't really think with her nonstop talking. Don't get me wrong but Lynia is an amazing friend, that I can't deny but when she talks she never shuts up till someone tells her too.
"Hey Silver are you listening to me?" Lynia asks me after I stopped commenting to her experiences with boys for the last twenty minutes. Truthfully the topic didn't really interest me at all. All I did was nod but then I stopped suddenly when a strange looking store caught my eye. Lynia stops along with me and looks over only to exclaim "Oh I know that store! That's Count D's petshop! I heard you can find any type of pet there, in fact once this guy I knew got this weird pet lizard from there and he says it looked like a human and not a lizard the next day! Isn't that so awesome?!" Before I was able to answer Lynia she started dragging me over to the shop screaming out "Lets go check out the shop!!!!"
I wanted to tell her no or make an excuse that I can't take care of another pet since I already am taking care of my three other rats back home but knowing Lynia she won't take no for an answer. With a sigh I just tell her "Ok ok we'll go but stop pulling so hard, you'll dislocate my shoulder!" Lynia grins victoriously but in my mind I was a bit happy I got dragged in.
As soon as we entered the shop we caught a strange sweet smell in the air, in fact the place looked dark and eery, almost dream like. Lynia rushes over to the bird cages that were out, cooing over the expensive looking birds. I frown finding the shop to be a bit fishy, it looked as if it had many pets but it did not smell at all but I guess that would be due to the burning incense that I spotted soon after I took a few more steps into the shop.
Suddenly a voice with a Chinese accent right besides me says "I bid you welcome, we have everything you may desire from dogs and cats to birds and insects, we even have quite a large selection of large reptiles, now how can I be of service?" I almost screamed out in fear, I turned to see a person who at first I thought to be a female but then I noticed the person is a male. What surprised me was how easily he could have passed as a female with his painted lips, colorful Asian clothing, and his unusually long painted fingernails. I guess I was staring a bit too long since the man suddenly said "We may have something that might interest you in the back room." I now felt a bit freaked out, it was as if he read my mind. Even though I had three wonderful pets already I couldn't help but want another one, I guess I love being able to take care of animals a bit too much.
Without much thought I started following the strange man who I guess was the Count who owned the pet shop. The strangest thing was the shop looked a lot bigger on the inside then the outside, I slightly looked at some of the strange animals roaming around the rooms as I followed the Count through the dark dim lit hallway. Soon we entered a dark room with a large door that had Chinese symbols around the red wooden border. In the middle of the room was just a single table with a fairly large black iron bird cage. I gave the Count a confused look, I liked many types of pets but the one type I can never think to have would be birds. For some strange reason every bird I ever encountered seemed to dislike me, pecking my hand whenever I approach. The Count just smiled and approached the cage before beckoning me to approach. With a bit of a nervous look on my face I approached the cage, I nervously asked him "Are you showing me a bird? I don't think I can have birds around me..." He quickly says "Oh you are mistaken, this is not a bird but a rare specimen that is the last of his kind. He is a strange creature who I encounter by accident, I do hope that you will take a liking to him."
I stepped closer to the cage to peek in only to be greeted by a squeak like screech. I quickly jumped back in time to see a magnificent rodent like creature with strange bird like plumes and wings for arms! From the dim light I could easily see a strange fiery glow around the creature, lighting up his beautiful orange and red feathers. His blueish red eyes held a type of fierceness to them as well as a calm calculating look. I was able to easily tell that he was in fact male, the Count started to explain to me about the species, how it was like a rodent and phoenix hybrid. Count mentioned how his kind takes time trusting a new person as well as mentioning the ability of his to be able to breath small flames. I was about to ask if the creature had a name but the Count who seemed to know what I was about to say answered "Feng." I nod, the name Feng seemed to suit him just fine. I then came to a decision that I wanted Feng, it would be truly amazing to be able to watch and care for such an exotic creature.
I look at the Count who seemed to be smiling, I softly said "I want him, how much do you want for him?" In my mind I thought to myself how I could afford something like Feng, chances are he was worth a fortune. The Count once again surprised me by telling me "Oh a couple of fruit tarts will do just fine but first let me read you the three terms of the contract before I can allow you to have the merchandise." Feeling a little dumbfounded I nod, letting him continue. The Count pulls out a contract paper and with a serious expression he starts reading "One, you will not show him to anyone. Two, you cannot feed him watery foods this includes water itself. Three, always keep burning coals at the bottom of his cage. If you breach any of these terms we cannot assume any responsibilities for the consequences."
I look at the contract then signed my name at the bottom before telling the Count "I agree to the terms." The rules did make sense in many ways, I bet if people knew about Feng then they would attempt experiments or worse to the poor fellow! Then the fact that he is partly phoenix explained the last to terms perfectly.
The Count then put some sort of cover over the cage to hide Feng from the eyes of others before helping me pick up the cage, luckily the cage wasn't very big making it easy for me to carry but since I'm not much of a weight lifter it was a bit difficult for me. Somehow I before I could thank the Count or even tell him good bye I found myself at the outside entrance of the shop, the last thing I heard was the Count saying "Please take good care of him" before hearing Lynia's high pitched voice as she came running to me. I look at her confused as she starts complaining out about how I vanished and how she was looking for me this whole time. I just smile at her in hopes to ease her worry and simply told her "Oh...I just got a new addition to the family, sorry if I made you worry." Lynia started jumping up and down screaming to see the pet, but I shook my head and explained to her the contract I agreed to. Lynia just sighed but let me off, I smile at the covered cage in hopes Feng would not be too much for me to handle. After a few more minutes of letting Lynia drag me around I finally headed back home to spend time with Feng while making sure I don't break the contract terms. Suddenly life seemed to have become a lot more brighter and fun, not to mention I now had a new excuse to stay home. That would be to watch over Feng and the others, mostly Feng since I didn't really want to return home to see the place burned to the ground.

I've always wanted to write a story based on that anime but I couldn't think of an idea till now ouo so I thank you for giving me the idea! X3 <3)
