I picked this name because the splatters on his body remind my of a dappled fire across his hide. But I didn't want to just pick some generic fire related name. So I studied this boy for a while, looking over the build of his body, reading the species info for these adopts, memorizing his markings. But the antlers were what finally helped me figure it out. They looked like wood, and the curve of them reminds me of a bow. Being a Roman mythology nut the archer god came to mind, mixed with the god of fire. So I sat here trying to figure how best to combine Apollo and Vulcan for nearly thirty minutes before deciding the first combination was the one I liked the best. So I picked Apocan, pronounced (App-O-Can), and it sounds rather masculine and sturdy like this guy looks.
