~ Flent Name: Athena. Because she reminds me of the Greek goddess Athena.
~ History/Short Story: A young Athena sat on her throne with the other Gods, nodding and rolling her eyes at some of the remarks. She could honestly care less about what the other Gods were discussing, in fact she didn't even know what they were talking about! A tap on her shoulder jolted Athena back into reality. "What do you think about this, Athena?" Zeus, king of the gods asked, his voice echoing off the walls like thunder. Athena stammered, she hadn't been paying attention and know her own father was questioning her in front of all the other, older Gods! Perfect timing, dad! She thought to herself and then realized that all eyes were on her. "Uh, what are we talking about again?" She asked, trying to sound as casual as she could, but failed miserably when she met her fathers eyes. "We are talking about my missing son, Storm!" Poseidon bellowed angerily. Athena let out a little gasp and instantly snapped to attention. I think he's cute! She nearly said out loud but instead she said "I think he should be found, he is one of us, full god or not." Murmurs of agreement filled the throne room.

It was a day later and Athena along with a few other Gods were going out to look for the lost son. It was storming badly since Zeus was mad at Poseidon for making the Gods do this. Suddenly the storm overtook Athena's wings and sent her crashing down to earth, where she ended up getting knocked out by a rock. She woke up to see a human and, could it be? It was Storm, Poseidon's lost son! Now what happens next is for another time...
~ Personality: Athena is super smart and loves correcting the other Gods on their mistakes, even if it does make the older ones mad. She also is very good at using a sword since Ares showed her how. She loves owls and the night sky. She may be a God but she doesn't act like she cares very much.
~ Art or Poem: I may add one if I come up with a poem, since she looks too hard to draw.
~ Reason to Apply for this Flent: It looks really interesting, like an owl to me. It also reminds me of the Greek goddess Athena, who happens to be my all time favorite goddess. She also makes a great story and if I do win her I will most likely continue this story of her and Storm, but if not I think I'll still continue this.

~ Flent Name: Artemis. I saw that Time (don't know how to write your name, sorry) named her Athena, but I thought that this flent reminded me more of Artemis, the goddess of the moon.
~ History/Short Story: {Minimum two hundred words, maximum three hundred.} Artemis woke up for the first time with no parents. She had been very sick when she was born, so did not wake for a while. Her parents had left her, thinking she would die anyways. However, one night, as she was in her coma, the full moon came out and silver speckles crept up her paws. It shone on her dark fur and seemed to course through her veins. The next morning was the day she awoke for the first time.

she seemed to have gathered knowledge in the time she was asleep. Her eyes fluttered open, and fell upon a rose. She excitedly sniffed it, then snatched it up into her teeth and tossed it up onto her head. It rested by her left ear. She decided to leave it there. Her wings fluttered with excitement. She had to see the rest of the world! She sprinted out of the bushes, and found a clearing. She could see the sky above her. Her wings fluttered again. Not yet, said her conscience. She let her wings fall. Slowly she explored the small clearing until, finally, the sun had set. Her wings fluttered, but this time it had more meaning. They wanted to fly. Artemis gave in to their wishes, and soared up into the night sky.

The night air tasted like fresh, clean water. Clear and crisp. Artemis felt she could almost touch the stars she passed by. The moon was really a million miles away, yet it felt like it was always right in front of her.

She looked down and noticed the silver speckles slowly climbing up her legs again. Letting out a small gasp, she dropped a few feet. Finally, as she grew tired, Artemis flew closer and closer to the ground, until her paws touched. The rose had fallen long ago. She went to take a drink of water, and gasped at her reflection. A small, lithe line traced her eye, creating a beautiful shape-a wing.

The first paragraph was sort of her history, then the rest was the story.

~ Personality: bold, creative, kind and bubbly.

~ Art or Poem:
The velvety dark blanket covers the world below,
The tiny winged creature begins to know
The stars are diamonds, the moon so close,
The air so crisp, the breeze gently blows,
She now awaits to world to be so.

A short poem, but I got it to rhyme!

~ Reason to Apply for this Flent: I love everything about her! I've never seen anyone do the sparkles/speckles or whatever they are, like this. I love the wing around her eye. The coloring reminds me of the night sky, which is the reason I wrote my story the way it is. The title says "a touch of gold", but I think it's a bit more... Silver. I've always loved silver, for some reason. ^_^
