Marble cats are colorful little bugcats. They drink flower nectar with their long butterfly like tongues, they have insect wings, do not have paws but more like fingers, their whiskers glow only when its dark, they also have two long tails with a orb between them and one on their face.

As I stepped out into the moonlit field, knowing that my black fur would be shining, I heard the slight movement of a field mouse. With no delay, I killed it with a one paw blow. It was my big night. Initiation. For females, all you had to do was perform a show of whatever you chose. But for male, you had to kill a predator and bring it back to the alpha male. The hardest part of it all though was, the alpha male was my father. He didnt acknowledge my well-being, or the fact of that I was even his son. I couldnt..wouldnt dare come back without a predator and look him in the eye. I would be a failure.

I stood near the cold river with my eyes focused on the other side. Sitting just across from me was a much larger animal. I couldnt tell what it was, but when I stirred every so slightly, the animal was on me in an instant. I tried to escape and run as far as I could, but it was pointless. A thought quickly occured and went of "My father is twisted for coming up with this idea." Then, my eyes rolled back and I blacked out.

Story:
The girl laid in her bed, bundled in blankets with the fan on. She had stayed home sick and had missed the one field trip of her second-grade year: the fieldtrip to the Butterfly House.
But, then, her cousin stopped by on his way home and made a delivery to the girl. He told that all of the students on the field-trip got a plastic butterfly to stick on window or the wall. Her closest friend, a boy named Isaac, had asked for an extra for her since she was sick. The girl looked at hers and smiled warmly; not only was the gesture sweet, but he had picked out her favorite color too! The plastic butterfly was a blue one. The cousin continued on his way and the girl went to work deciding where to put the butterfly.
Where she placed it, it seemed to the catch the light just right, and so it faintly lit up from the center out.

The girl left her room for a little, and when she returned, there was a little blue glow on the glass flower protruding from her betta fish tank. The girl approached and stared, wide-eyed. It appeared to be a creature. The girl squinted and made out the details of the feline body and butterfly wings, the little orbs so beautifully placed.
The creature angled its ears at the girl and then fluttered away from her. The girl meandered around her room until finally the creature was in reach. She cupped her hands and caught the tiny beast.
The sun was nearly set as the girl took the creature outside. She opened her hands and watched it lift off and drift away.

Whenver the girl saw her friend from then on she thought of the special prize. More than that, the creature had made her open her mind to the unknown. What other things were out there?

For a while to come, there would be times when the girl would look out and see a little blue glow moving about the air and plants in the yard. There were times, even, when it was right at her window.
