Name:
Bael (Meaning Guardian)
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Intelligent & Calm
When Bael is in trouble, or in a situation that calls for brains rather than muscles, he always seems to know exactly what to do. Under pressure he happens to be extremely calm and can think through any situation for the answer.
Shy
Bael never talks to anyone first, they always must speak with him first due to the fact that when it comes to meeting new people he clams up. It takes him a while to trust someone as well as feel comfortable enough to speak complete sentences.
Caring & Kind
Despite his shyness, Bael will help anyone in need, as long as it doesnt directly involving talking to someone new. He happily will listen to his friends, and is extremely good at giving advice, even if he hasn't had the experience in whatever is being discussed, however he doesn't always follow his own advice all the time. (And he probably should)
An eye for Beauty
Everything beautiful catches Bael's eyes. He could spend hours flying above roses and viewing their beauty. The night sky is also a source of beauty for Bael, he could spend hours at night watching the moon and the stars and viewing the landscape drenched in moonlight.
A Dreamer
When you can't find Bael looking at everything with eyes that spot beauty, you can find the usually energetic marble cat dreaming sweet dreams on whatever soft flower he can find that is hidden out of sight of predators. While he doesn't believe all dreams come true, he believes most of them are possible
Stubborn
If there is something Bael wants to do, but other no one else thinks its a good idea, he will still do what he has planned, even if he too knows its a bad idea. It is the same for something he does not want to do, however the only difference is he will try and persuade others off of the course he wishes not to take.
Short Story:
In a far off field of flowers not so long ago, a beautiful spotted blue marble cat fluttered about on his beautiful wings looking at the scenery. These flowers were his favorite, and the young Marble Cat came there often to enjoy the beauty the garden of wild flowers held.
Pale skin, long, crimson, wavy hair flowed out behind Ardra as she enjoyed the scenery of the field near her house. Strange creatures often came to visit the crimson haired beauty, so she wasn't at all surprised to see a tiny, about one inch, tom-cat with butterfly wings flying above a bunch of roses. Smiling to herself, Ardra walked quietly up to the little cat, sat down slowly, and watched him as he *seemed* to be lost deep in thought.
The Spotted Blue Marble Cat was lost in his own different world, his eyes filled with joy, his nose filled with the alluring aroma of the flowers, his thoughts filled with the beauty of the roses themselves. He heard a noise behind him, an unusual noise and when he flew up higher in the air and did a twist in mid-air, he saw the largest creature he had ever seen. Blinking his gorgeous eyes, the marble cat flew closer to the giant, seemingly fur-less, barkless, leafless, pale creature. flying backward and hissing, which caused the Marble Cat to forget about flapping. As he fell through the air he let out a teeny yowl, but was suddenly caught by the thing.
"Well, aren't you a cutie." Ardra said. Her friends had Marble Cats, so she knew what this little guy was. Something about the little cat called to her as he stood on her palm, dazed but still hissing at her. "I think I shall name you Bael." nodding to herself, she reached out a finger and pat him gently on his head.
Surprised, the newly named Spotted Blue Marble Cat blinked up at the creature, forgetting to hiss. Tipping his head to the side, he noticed he was not trapped and could fly free. Flapping his wings he hurried off the palm of Ardra's hand and flew away as fast as his little wings would take him.
Days and weeks went by, and Ardra hadnt seen a single sign of Bael. Other creatures came, including two or three Marble cats, but none of them caught the woman's attention did like her Bael. One evening she was about to leave when a little blue form flew and landed on her shoulder. It was Bael! Smiling, she patted his head and he purred, then hissed.
After that Bael would sit on Ardra's shoulder, purr, then remember he was supposed to be hating her company, and hiss. It took a very long time, but Bael came to live with Ardra and was by her side always. How that happened is a story for another day.
