Midnight stepped out into the dark clearing at night. Look at what they've done...., she thought as she scanned the emaciated clearcut. Aha! she had spotted the perfect place to hide- a large stump with a round hole in it. Her stomach flpped and groaned as she thought of the sharp blades that had caused the jagged tares where the stump ended. The other spies had told her that her village's forest was next. We'll show them, she wispered, thinking of the plan for dawn, this isn't thiers to take.
