He's such a beauty! :D If i were to win him, he would be my only Daran unless i breed him, most likely not though. :3 <3

Story or Art: Not too long ago, only about three months ago, in fact, Thunder was traveling across the mountains to visit the place he was born. Depending on the weather conditions, the journey should take roughly five and a half days, he knew. On the third day, at about midnight, he reached the halfway point - the peak of Storm Mountain. Thunder knew he should keep going, that it would be dangerous to stay on Storm Mountain too long, but he was very tired. His legs were sore and he couldn't stand any more walking. He laid down beside a tree. He only wanted to sleep for an hour and a half, at most, because of Storm Mountain's dangerous and unpredictable weather. He closed his weary eyes and fell into a deep sleep almost immediatly. As he drifted off, he thought about an old legend of Storm Mountain that his mother told him when he was just a calf.
The legend said that a 'Lightning' Daran mare and a 'Thunder' Daran stallion lived on Storm Mountain, and that they themselves created the vicious storms that struck out at this mountain's rocks and boulders. It was said that if you caught sight of the Thunder Daran, you would be doomed, struck by lightning, probably. And if you even caught a glimpse of the Lightning Daran, you would fall under a spell - mares would be drowning in jealousy of her beauty, always trying to kill her or find a fault in her, and stallions would be bewitched by her beauty, fated to follow her forever, always trying to win her love.
Thunder awoke at three in the morning, staring at the sky. The dark, velvety sky was enkindled with the glistening stars that told tales of the past and of other lands. The moon was beginning to set. Thunder looked towards the moon. He blinked, not sure if her was really seeing the slim figure of a Daran mare in front of the bright moon. He stood up quietly and looked again. No, her was not seeing things. As the mare moved, her dark color caused by the moon behind her changed into a lighter, silvery color. Thunder gasped. This had to be the Lightning mare of legend. He was unable to look away from her, so this must be her. She moved forward, disappearing behind a boulder. Thunder quickly and silently moved after her, unable to stop himself. He found himself on a four and a half foot wide ledge, which appeared to be some sort of narrow path. The mare moved quickly ahead of him, almost seeming to shimmer like a ghost. She obviously knew this path very well, for she didn't hesitate as she walked swiftly on the high, narrow ledge. Carefully and quietly, Thunder followed, trying his best not to look down. Of course, he didn't have to try hard, because his gaze was fixated on the gorgeous mare ahead of him. She stopped and disappeared into the side of the mountain. Thunder slightly quickened his pace. He saw a hole in the side of the mountain, an entrance to a cave. He hesitated for a moment, thought again about the mare, and quickly entered. There were five different tunnels and the mare was nowhere to be seen. There were no hoofprints because the ground was entirely rock, probably something like granite, but Thunder couldn't tell in the dim light of the moon. He glanced back at the exit, then at the tunnels again. He took a deep breath and decided to go into the last tunnel. He was about to step into it when he heard hooves clopping gently on the rock in the middle tunnel. He excitedly turned and galloped into the tunnel. It was nearly pitch black - you wouldn't be able to see your hands unless they were five inches away at the furthest. The hoofbeats in ahead of Thunder suddenly stopped. The Thunder collided with the mare. As they fell Thunder caught a blurry, shadowed glimpse of the mare's slightly shocked, slightly angry, slightly something else expression. Thunder quickly got up. He bolted away from the mare in the direction he thought the exit was. He ended up in a spacious room-like part of the cave. A cozy fire was burning in the middle (and how it got there is unknown) and long grass was piled up along the walls. Thunder heard hooves behind him, getting closer. The mare entered the room and Thunder passed out from fright, shock, and weariness.
When he woke up, he was lying on the corner of the cave-room. The Lightning mare was standing beside a pile of grass. She grabbed some and trotted over to Thunder, who freaked out and started running in circles, screaming like a little girl the whole time. The mare must have thought he was delirious. She dropped the grass from her mouth and watched him rather calmly. Thunder finally ran out of energy and collapsed in the corner. The mare stood still.
"You're, you're the Ligh-Lightning mare," Thunder stammered as he gasped for air. The mare looked confused.
"Why, yes, my name is Lightning," she said slowly. "But what do you mean by, 'the Lightning mare'?"
"The one, the one from the old le-legend, of Storm Mou-Mountain," Thunder panted. The mare stared at him for a moment, then burst into hysterical laughter. Her legs gave way and she rolled around, her legs striking out, as she laughed crazily. Her laughter finally subsided and she rose to her feet, still chuckling quietly.
"No, no, no," she laughed. "I'm not the Lightning mare. Those legendary Darans of Storm Mountain don't exist. Not anymore, at least. I just live up here." Thunder sighed in relief.
"What is there to do up here?" he inquired after he had gotten his thoughts straight.
"Well, I'd say the best thing to do is scare the life out of traveling Darans," the mare grinned. "Oh, I still haven't introduced myself. I'm Silver Lightning."
"Then we have a few things in common," Thunder said, getting to his feet.
"Well then, what are they?" Lightning asked, raising her eyebrows slowly.
"We both have a color in our names," Thunder began. "And we both have a key word from a certain storm in our names."
"You certainly have aroused my curiousity," Lightning told Thunder. "So tell me, what's your name?"
"Blue Thunder," Thunder replied. He laughed. "What with out colors, names, and genders, I wouldn't be surprised if we were the Thunder and Lightning Darans."
"But I already told you," Lightning grinned. "They don't exist."
"Looks like they do now," Thunder smiled.
