Name: Aecinis (I-kin-ihs)

Meaning: I tinkeeed with come latin words, the two original were "ex" and "cinis" which means from the ash. The other version of Ex (becaus eLatin is weord, some of the prepositions have two forms), is E, pronanced ay. So I substiuted it for the dipthong that makes that sound, and used that as a prefix for cinis. Cinis it the word for ash, obviously.

Gender: Female

History: The battle had raged for eleven years, and only when the war raging species had killed each other off did the battle end. The war had left both of the species territory ruined, and much of the country's wildlife had dies too. It was lifeless. But, we are not here to find out about the disastrous war, and the many animals that died, we are here to learn about the life that it created. Out of the ashes rose a dragon. A great and mighty dragon! It was born of destruction, clad in armor, and glowing of the fire that had once engulfed the battlefield. The great and mighty dragon was actually quite small, about as big as a fish tank in a house. And it was a baby. It became clear from the second she was found that she was aggressive, and had her own opinion. Once she had made a decision, she could not be swayed. Futhermore, she had a literal outlook on life, therefore, attempts at joke were futile. Nothing could fool her. If you tried to sneak up on her, she wait, and at the last second, turns, and ounces. This usually results in a little blood, but it is not always meant. She acts stone cold, but, inside, I think that she just waited for someone to have fun with. She traveled the globe, and met peple, usually who hated her. This didn't bring her down. Nothing could. She is intelligent, and hot-headed. But then came the day, the day she met me.
My mom had let me go down to the park, and it was there. I had climbed a tree, and I sat there, looking out, onto everything, this was my kingdom, my turf. No one questioned it. If I was climbing a tree, everyone got down. Well, it was mine and my neighbor's land. At firs, I didn't notice her. But a little movement caught my eye. How she blended well with the surroundings, I don't know, but she seemed to be liking the view as much as me. I detected intelligence in the dragon.
"It's all mine, ya know." I looked out, "People don't argue, it just is. I don't know how my neighbor and I came to be the bosses, but we are."
"That's nice."
"Yes, it's good to know that you talk. Now tell me, where to you come from."
"Oh, nowhere. I wander around, I have no home. I travel the earth, and learn new things."
"Are you smart?"
"Yes. I am the only one of my kind who can talk."
"Sorry, I don't mean to insult you. I just don't know much about your kind."
"No offense taken."
"What's it like? Traveling?"
"Pretty cool, I just don't have a place to call home, no one really cares aboout me, I'm not respected."
"Oh, I travel, just not like you. What about time difference and temperatuer? Those are killer for me."
"Oh, I hate the heat, time difference does not affect me."
"Oh. I have to go. My mom doesn't like me staying out after dark." I returned home, slightly sad. I was never going to see her again, was I? But, the next day, I went down to the park with my neighbor. She was there, and when my neighbor went homw, we talked again. I continued to see her, until, one day, I brought something for her.
"What's that?"
"A present."
"For who?"
"You."
"Why?"
"Because, you have no birthday, so I decided that today would be."
"Really?"
"Yes. Now, open it."
"Do what now?"
"Rip the paper, off of it." Aecinis gingerly stepped forward, and ripped the paper with one claw. Inside the wrapping were three things. One: A star shape that fit into ther armor.
"I figured that that was yours, so I took it home, and modified it. I was kinda dirty and blackened, but I fixed it, and painted it gold." Two: The rest of the gold paint.
"I figured I could pain the rest of your armor jewels gold." And three: a picture of a house.
"That's my house." Aecinis just looked at it, shocked.
"A home? You are taking me home? I have a home? And a family?"
"Yes, now you do."
