Personality: Aeris is an excitable, playful girl. She loves to roam around alone. She enjoys solitude, though she is friendly when she is with other Darans. Her best friend is Silver Lightning (Silver). Ever since they met they've been traveling all over together, never leaving one another's side.
Art or Story: Aeris was all alone ever since she was old enough to fend for herself. She rarely met any other Darans as she traveled from here to there (probably because she tried to stay away from other Darans). But she did meet other Darans every once in a while. There were many hills and valleys in her journeys - literally and emotionally. There were plenty of rainy days, sunny days, and just plain wierd days. There was one wierd day in particular that she thought was a very wierd day, probably the most wierd day of her life.
It started around noon on a sunny, warm day. A few wispy clouds were strung about in the blue sky above. Soft dust puffed up when Aeris set each hoof down as she walked across the open, lonely plains. She soon came to a more rocky area with quite a few trees and bushes. She walked slowly, peering around cautiously to watch for predators. Suddenly something jumped out from the behind a large boulder. It seemed to be a living bush! Frozen in shock and something between confusion and terror, Aeris stared at the flailing bush-monster. Moaning and shrieking in terrifying tones, the monster careened towards her. Aeris swore she saw red eyes gleaming and glaring at her from the shadows between the leaves as she turned with a scream to run deeper into the rocky land. As she brushed past the bush-monster, it teetered precariously on one... leg, or whatever limbs it used to move around with, the others flung up in the air. It crashed down on its front feet and regained its balance. It turned this way and that, and then ran forward, following Aeris. Aeris screamed and kept running, extremely terrified by this strange, unearthly beast. She glanced back every so often, hoping it had gone elsewhere, but it seemed to be gaining on her. In fact, it was getting closer! Aeris screamed again, galloping as fast as she could. Suddenly the beast behind her tripped and fell with a thud and the sound of twigs breaking in two. Aeris swiveled around as she heard the sound. The beast was struggling to get up. Aeris was about to laugh when she noticed something familiar about the bush creature. A familiar looking tail flailed around. Aeris gasped. It was a Daran's tail! The monster must have eaten a Daran! Aeris looked around wildly, then turned to run again. But she tripped on a branch. Not just any branch, a branch from the monster! Aeris neighed loudly, kicking as the beast got closer. She kept screaming, even though she knew the end was near. Suddenly... "Ca ou gt tis hin offa me?" Aeris stopped struggling. Where had the voice come from? The muffled words came again, from the direction of the monster. The Daran it had eaten must still be alive! It must have eaten it whole! Aeris neighed again, kicking and struggling even more, trying to get away so she wouldn't be eaten alive. She was moving, slowly, dragging the bush creature with her, towards a row of hedges. Aeris managed to stand up. She lunged forward, not caring where she went, into the hedges, the monster following - or being pulled, really - her with a muffled shout of surprise. Aeris struggled out of the bushes. The monster came out a few seconds later. Aeris looked at herself - or tried to. She was covered in branches! Now she understood! There was no monster that ate Darans whole. There was no monster that ate Darans at all. In fact, there was no monster whatsoever. The 'monster' was just another Daran that had gotten tangled up in the bushes. Aeris sighed in relief and helped the other Daran with the branches. The other Daran, in turn, helped Aeris out of the mess of branches and leaves. The other Daran introduced herself.
"I'm Silver Lightning," she said. "You can call me Silver. I'm sorry I scared the daylights out of you. Those bushes..." She shook her head, grinning. "I'm always getting tangled up in those darn things. They're so annoying. Have you ever gotten tangled up in them before today? Oh, what am I saying? Of course you haven't. You aren't from around here." She paused. "You aren't from around here, are you?"
"No, no," Aeris replied. "I'm from... Someplace far away, I guess." She grinned. "I've been traveling around for a long time. I don't particulary like herd life, I suppose. As for getting tangled up in bushes... Well, let's just say I just got very well aqquainted with one for the first time." She laughed and shook a leave off of her leg. Silver looked confused.
"You mean you've never seen a bush before?" she asked, tilting her head to the side as she always did when she was confused or curious.
"No, no, no," Aeris giggled. "I've just never gotten that close to one before." Silver nodded and laughed with her.
And that was how Aeris met Silver, and got very well aqquainted with a particular bush. Oh, and that was her wierdest day. Did I mention that already?

jane was running through the tall grass enjouying the rain as it fell. she jumped up high in the air letting the cool water drench her back. she smiled and laughed. she turnedher head and shouted "Blu! come on!" she jumped into a puddle of mud and it when flying all over her. she laughed and blu walked up "are you sure you want to run? i mean cant we when its dry?" he asked. the 'cold' water (to him) making him shiver. flaim noded her head "nothing is more beutiful than rain! and after it rains, a rainbow comes out!" she jumped up exitedly. blu took a step and sliped in the mud. he let out a yelp as he hit the ground with a thud. janestarted to laugh as blu got up, his bluish furnow covered in black-brown mud. jane was laughing her head off. blu scowled at her "it wasnt funny. i triped" he said "ya it was! you should have seen your face!" she laughed harder. she shook her head and got to her feet. "come on, blu, we dont have all day" she ssaid and trotted off letting the rain soakher fur. her rust brown fur seemed to glow as the faint light of the sun shown on it. she smiled as she walked. "jane! wait up! i dont think we sould-" he was cutt of by a loud boom. it echoed and then there was a creaking. janes ears twitched. "b-blu, RUN!" she shouted erging him back to the ranch. he was faster somehow. she wasright at his tail. she sliped and fell, just then a huge tree fell down on the gate locking blue and jane out. they were traped in the trees... and no way back in.

jane pushed herself to her feet "BLU!" she shouted. he seemed to have disapeared. she looked around frantically. "BLU! WERE ARE YOU!" she shouted. she thought he was on the same side of the fence, but she didnt see him "Blue..." she was crying now. what if he was traped under the tree? it was her falt. she got up, her legs wobbly from fear. she walked around looking for him. she lost hope. she walked around the entire ranch and there was no way in, and with the mud all over her, the humans thought she was wild, so they kept chasing her away instead of taking her in. she hung her head so low, her chin caw almost touching the ground. she was crying, tears running down her cheeks.

Jane was walking, looking for a breeak in the fence, but the humans kept driving her away no madder what. she did her best to avoid them but couldnt get in. they must have thought i was after food or something. she gave up when they brought boom sticks out. she walked away with her head low. she looked back waiting for blu to magically come, but henever did. she was already missing his black-blue fur as she walked...

she didnt know were she was, she was further than she has ever been.she was cnfused by the new sents and scenery. she kept walking,her legs started to ack. she looked up and saw the sun was setting. she looked down. she scaned for a place to sleep and she sawan old abanded barn. sheranto it exploring it to make sure no animal that could really harm her was there. there was none. she climbed up some steps and lay in some hay. she ate some of it and fell asleep...

Jane woke up to a pounding sound outside of the barn. a first she was startled, but then she realized it was just some rail and wind. she lay back down and started to doze when she heard a cccccrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkk. jane froze lifted her head, her eyes darting back and forth looking for the source of the sound. she heard what sounded like something walking. it was too small to be another daran or to be a small animal like a dog. maybe it was one of her ownsers coming back! no, it couldnt be, she had travled to far for them to find her. it was definatly a human though. she slowly stod up the bords blew her creaked as she stood. she was ready to dart if it waas a hunter. she saw movemnt and wiped her head over to the derection it was at. she saw a human girl walk out of the shadows. the girl smiled and walked up. jane backed up into a corner. should she rear up and spook the girl? the girl reached her and started to pet her head. it felt satisfying and great to have another animal be there. she relaxed and lay her head on the girls sholder. "good girl" the girl said patting janes head.

after that the girl-Edwina- became the loving and caring owner of jane. Edwina stole janes heart and jane stoe Edwinas heart. they loved eachother and would never spilt up. she did see Blu again and they lived together but, well, thats another story.

Done, hope i get this truly adorible Daran!
