Name meaning:
Llŷr, pronounced Leer, sometimes spelt Llyr is a name of Welsh origin that means ''Sea''. The reasons that I would give him this name if I were to be lucky enough to win this beautiful AGD would be because of his design. The striped on his pelt remind me of the subtle waves that ripple across the ocean's tides and the little sparkles remind me of bubbles. Another reason why would be due to him being a Shaman who mainly works with the power of water due to him being fascinated how one minute it could be something so calm and peaceful, but if it were to be enraged it would turn tides and become a form of chaotic beauty possible of collecting souls of those unfortunate few who feel it's wrath.
Gender:
Male. Even if I were to be given the choice of choosing what gender he would be, he is still a male in my eyes and always will be.
Age:
Llŷr, in cat years, is just under 3 years old which would make him 20 in human years. He is indeed a young adult and he looks his age however he doesn't act it. He is rather mature for his age, though that is only when he is feeling neutral or any other positive emotions. Whenever he is feeling down, angry, upset, or any other kind of negative emotions he tends to act childish - soiling the mature status he has when he is neutral.
Astrological Sign:
Due to Llŷr being born on the 14th of September, he is a Virgo. It is said that Virgo's are loving, susceptible, sympathetic, faithful, and charitable - however, they can also be over-reactive and moody.
Diet:
Llŷr tends to eat a variety of meat and sometimes fish if he is able to catch them quick enough.
- Salmon: One of the foods in which he has very little of but savours every moment of it. He simply enjoys the taste that tingles his taste buds whenever he eats it. He prefers it raw over cooked.
- Hare: Since hares are commonly found in the pride in which he resides in's territory, it's a food in which he has constantly, and luckily for him he likes the food.
- Mice and Other Rodents: Due to his keen eye and quick reflexes, Llŷr tends to be able to catch mice and other rodents for food if there's nothing else available.
Sexual Orientation:
If I were to get Llŷr, I'd make him a homosexual. He seems to be the type, in my eyes, who would prefer to be with those who have a powerful façade but a soft and kind heart, and I can see many males being like that.
Attracted To:
As said above, Llŷr would be homosexual so he would be attracted to Males. Qualities that he finds attractive in males are those who have a powerful façade, a soft and kind heart, humorous, trust worthy, and romantic. The reason why he would like someone with a powerful façade is due to him being attracted to those who would make him fight for the love at first and to try to get to their kind heart since he loves the thrill of the chase when it comes to slowly getting into the heart and mind of the one he is attracted to. He would like someone who has a soft and kind heart for he would like to be loved and cared for by the other, not given tough love for that would only drive him away. Humorous males catch his heart for he likes to have a good laugh every now and then. Weather it be by them telling a bad joke, an embarrassing story, or a sarcastic and witty comment - if they can get him to crack a smile or a chuckle, you're more likely to win his heart. Trust is something that Llŷr is very cautious of for the last people he has trusted have simply taken that trust and ripped it up into shreds, and so when it comes to meeting new people he will be very cautious to get to know them for he is scared that they will say one thing to him, and do something to contradict themselves. And lastly, Llŷr is attracted to those who are romantic for similar reasons that he likes those with a soft and kind heart. He himself is someone who is a romantic and loves to treat whoever he is with to make them feel special and loved, and he would like it if it were returned - though, it is not needed. Appearance wise, he pretty much doesn't mind what you look like as long as you're a male. Though, he tends to lean towards those with eyes of the colour blue and have blue or darkly coloured hair. He doesn't mind skin colour, but he does mind if they are more than 10 years older than himself.
Does He Want To Have A Relationship Currently:
Yes. Llŷr has always been longing to have a relationship with someone, for he has always wanted to feel loved in a much more intimate way other than simply being a friend or feeling as though the love between him and the other is just one that feels like a sibling bond. He is yet to find that one special person who he would mate with hopefully for life, but he is looking far and wide - but who knows? Maybe the one he was looking for has been under his nose, in his own pride, all the time?
Does He Ever Want Children:
Once again, this is a yes. He would love the chance to raise a family when he is older and more mature than he is at the current time. He wants to have a litter, weather large or small, just so he could experience fatherhood. He as always thought he would be good as a father, however the only way to find out is if he were to have a litter.
Personality:
When you first meet Llŷr, you will find that he tends to be someone who is calm and mellow, giving you the impression that you could tell him anything that you wish and he in turn would keep it to himself and not tell another soul. He is someone who is trust worthy - that is, if you do not break the trust between you. That's when things get a little less innocent. If you were to break the bond of trust, prepare to hear the words you once told him to be spread amongst the pride lands until you are driven out due to your pride being spoiled and tarnished due to the secrets he had released. Once you get to know him a little more, you will find he is a kind and caring soul who tends to make sure you are okay, and if you're not he will take the time out of whatever he was doing just to try to cheer you up even if it were just a little bit. When happy, Llŷr tends to laugh a lot and say sarcastic and humorous comments in order to put smiles on other people's faces, however you should speak carefully for if you were to say one thing wrong then you could jeopardise his happiness and instead cause him to get either upset, frustrated, or angry. When he is upset, Llŷr tends to keep to himself or go to his brother to talk to for he seems to be one of the only souls who can keep him calm and make him happy when he is in such a bad mood. When he is depressed, he won't let anyone near him and would prefer the solitude. He will be snappy and will sometimes go as far as using his powers to get you away from him - but that only happens when he has chronic depression. When he is angry it's best you keep your distance for if you do not he will use whatever he can in his power in order to get revenge or to get you to remember to never cross him again. He is not afraid to scar another, mentally or physically, and if he dislikes you then it's not wise to go near him. Should you go near him do not be surprised by the sarcastic and snappy comments which each word is laced with venom. When he is embarrassed he becomes bashful and submissive, causing him to smile at himself or whatever the other had said to him. He's someone who tries to laugh at himself if he were to do anything embarrassing. When he has a crush on another, he will tend to do anything in his power to please and surprise them, to show them how much he loves them. He will do things such as plan a romantic date for the two, probably somewhere outside of a night time, gazing up at the stars or snow as it starts to fall, just sitting there next to his love and enjoying each other's company. He will also bring gifts for the other when they least expect it just so he could see them smile when he hands it to them. Overall, Llŷr is a relatively happy male who tends to over react when in a negative mood and tends to spoil those who he loves and cares about, however he pushes them away when he feels down and depressed for he doesn't wish for them to see him like that.
Likes:
- Water: Due to him being a Shaman who tends to find water the easiest and most destructive of all the elements, Llŷr likes water not only to manipulate but to also protect himself from harm by using it to drown, freeze, or boil others who threaten him, his brother, or any other's who live in his pride.
- Snow: Many would think that due to the AGD's living in the snowy plains of Russia that they wouldn't like the snow - a bit like how in England it rains pretty much all the time and the majority of Brits hate the rain - Llŷr is someone who actually likes the snow and finds it simply beautiful to both stare at and manipulate much like he does water. Sometimes, when he is alone and bored, he will make it snow if it hasn't been already, just to stare up at the sky as the small snowflakes float down to the ground in which he would be sitting on and sometimes he'd poke his tongue out to catch one or two of these beautiful flakes on his tongue.
- Water Forget-Me-Not: The water forget-me-not is a plant that flowers many light blue flowers with cream centres that originate from England. Even though they are not a native flower of Russia, when Llŷr first saw one he simply fell for the flower's simplicity and beauty - though he dare tells a soul for his love of the flower.
- Butterflies: Even though there are not many species of butterflies found in the Russian plains, Llŷr loves their symmetrical beauty. He loves their patterns and how some of them camouflage in order to protect themselves from creatures who would otherwise eat them if it weren't for them sitting in.
- Ravens: One of his favourite birds are Ravens, mainly due to their obsidian black feathers and how they are depicted in many religions and other legends for a wide range of reasons, some being; death, rebirth, good luck, and good fortune.
Dislikes:
- Lightning: This hatred of lightning came from when he was first made a Shaman along side his brother. The reason why he hates lightning is when he was trying to harness his powers and control them, he accidental made a strike of lightning hit him. Due to his carelessness, he tends to not ever use any lightning element even if it is a life-or-death situation. He just doesn't wish to risk it.
- Mayflies: These pesty insects drive Llŷr absolutely manic for they annoy him when they swarm around him during the more warmer months. He can't seem to get them to go away, even with his powers. The only time he can escape from them is if he were to go to his den, but his job as Shaman means he cannot do that often for the pride members are always in need of his services.
- Loud Noises: One thing that Llŷr hates at any time on any day are sudden, loud noises. Not only to they make him jump and wary, but they scare him. You could say that they are a fear of his, and so he tends to not investigate the source of the noise and would let someone else do it for him if he could.
- Lone Males: Though this doesn't apply to all lone males who roam the plains, Llŷr does indeed become cautious and wary around them. This is due to some incidents when he was younger when lone males would assert their dominance - or at least try to- on him, and so he has grown a hatred for them.
- Shamans From Other Prides: The reason as to why he is very cautious of Shamans who belong to other prides outside the one he and his brother reside in is because he knows what they're capable of and he knows that most of them will manipulate, twist words, and hurt others to get what they want. Of course, this doesn't apply to all of them, but he can normally tell what a Shaman is like by their body language and voice - first impressions are important here for this is where he chooses weather or not to trust them.
What are his feelings about his brother?:
Llŷr and his brother have had a tight bond due to them growing up together. He has been with him through thick and thin and they tend to get on pretty well. He does indeed love his brother dearly. But of course, this doesn't mean that they do not have their fights - in fact, they happen more commonly than most siblings fight. When they are to get into a dispute they tend to raise their voices and Llŷr sometimes uses vulgar language and harsh words in order to try to intimidate his brother. This will then escalate into him and his brother using their powers to not harm the other, but to ware them down to make them weak before biting their throat to show dominance. Never has any of their fights gotten to the point that they have fought each other physically.
History:
Llŷr was born but a few years ago alongside his twin brother to a loving mother and father. Their childhood was fairly normal - they would play flight, tease each other, run around and cause slight chaos in the pride. They were just regular cubs spending their childhoods the best they could until they had to be given a position and work for the pride. When they grew older, the last shaman of the pride was growing old and frail, and so he ordered for a young, strong, and worthy male to kill him in order to pass on the power to the next generation Shaman - and that young, strong, and worthy AGD was Llŷr's brother. When Llŷr had found this out, he didn't want his brother to change - everyone knew the majority of shaman's had lonely life after they were given the powers, and Llŷr felt threatened that this life would take his brother away from him, his only true friend. When it came to the day where his brother would kill the Shaman, he was almost successful to kill him on his own, but Llŷr couldn't stand to see it. He jumped in. Together, they both delivered the killing blow and thus the power was split between the two, making them both Shamans. And that's where it leaves them now - the two of them being the Shaman's of the pride, side by side. It is unknown what path that may lie ahead of them but one thing that's certain is that no matter how much they may fight or bicker, these two brothers will stand by each other's side through thick and thin.
How did they come to be in the Pride?:
As said above, they were born into the pride to a loving mother and father and they were the only two cubs produced by the mating pair. Of course, like many AGD's, their father left the mother after the cubs were old enough to fend for themselves for AGD's can switch partners at various times if it's not the one that they love. Their mother was a breeding female in the pride - at least, she should have been. She was very picky when it came to males and even since the two brother's were born, she has not produced a single cub since.
