I feed him a large fruit and smile, petting him softly. I take him on my arm and let him fly around outside.

No problem.

I give Desert another fruit and watch him eat it. Next I let him perch on my arm, talons digging in slightly, and let him fly around outside. I watch the careful turn of the wings, each little shift of a feather. The graceful movements make me jealous.
