Luci was prancing around minding her own business. She closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, and just lives in that moment. That is until she abruptly stops, bumping into someone and nearly falling over. Aggravated by this Luci blurts out "What are you blind?! Watch where you're going!" The soft voice retorts "well actually I am blind, thanks for noticing. And perhaps you're the one who should watch where they're going." Luci turned bright red and tried to stutter out an apology, Felix however, just laughed. "Let me buy you some ice-cream or something to make up for it, please!" Luci begged. Felix agreed, and well the rest is history. The two bonded over their hard headed nature. Felix exposed Lucille to the paranormal world and all its mysteries and in return Lucille showed him the beauty and certainty in the world. His calm, quiet nature balances out her bubbly, excitable personality. His dark interests balancing out her light. The yin to her yang.

what kind of relationship does this kal have with one of mine?: Shania being rather socially awkward has had a hard time connecting with those around her. She always struggled to make friends, but since going to college she's gained some confidence in herself. Recently, she's began to feel comfortable around Camila, who she once jokingly called Chamomila, and may even go as far as to describe her as her best friend, quite the title as far as Shania is concerned since she struggles so much with maintaining friendships. Maybe it's the soothing scent of tea that lingers on Camila. Or maybe it's her motherly temperament that gives Shania a sense of security while in her presence. Or the glint that shines in her eyes when she looks up from her novels. Or maybe it's that she encourages Shania to not simply coup herself up with her music, television and video games. Shania just understands that she is at ease while lingering around the other student. Shania recently started studying Music and Film, two of her greatest passions in life.
Her interest in Psychology is limited, yet Camila can draw forth her attention and she could listen to chatter about Freud, Ainsworth and Harlow's monkeys for hours if wanted. Shania is sure that Camila does the same when she begins to talk too much about Music and Cinematography.
"Did you see that close up? And the use of sound when this happened? That was amazing!"
"You know the sound from that game we played last week? Yep, that one. Well, they made it by slowing down some guy shouting. Weird, I know. Look, I'll show you. I've already pulled it up on Youtube."
Shania works in a small coffee shop and will often bring Camila tea on her way home, bringing her new flavours and the occasional milkshake [Shania's favourite], just to mix it up a tad. She brings round video games of varying genres when she visits in hopes that Camila will play them with her, although sometimes she will settle for studying together and giggling over weird images inside their textbooks, or sitting together reading in silence. Or she may drag Camila to a charity shop so that she can buy more books while Shania buys more music, just so that she can listen to her talk about anything and everything on the walk.
Shania always buys Camila gifts, particularly for special occassions: Birthdays, Christmas, single on Valentines day. But will often show up with a random present just because she can. Frequently it will be at least a box of tea and a new mug for Camila, whether it was bought brand new or is a weird mug that she's bought from a charity shop varies. The quirkier, the better in Shania's eyes.
extra: The sky was already beginning to dim as Shania finished her shift at the coffee shop for the afternoon. Her hair was piled up into a bun so that it was out of her face and less likely to contaminate the food. In one hand she clutched the cardboard carrier for the two hot take away cups.
She walked along the darkening street as the street lamps light up, brightening the streets and reflecting their orange glow in the puddles that had settled onto the pavement the night before. She walked with her headphones settled on her head as she hummed along to the Rocky Horror Picture Show album. Her lilac hair dancing as she bobbed her head along to the music.
By the time that she had reached Camila's door the sky had darkened to a deep purple. Shania knocked on the door before waiting patiently, smiling widely as Camila pulled the door open. "Hey!"
Shania smiled, "Hello. I bought tea." She stepped inside and placed the cups down onto the table just inside the hallway, "But you may have to nuke them in the microwave, they're probably cold by now."
"As per usual."
Shania playfully stuck out her tongue as she wandered into the living room. "Someone has been busy?" She commented on the notes and textbook laid across the floor.
"I have a test tomorrow." Camila sighed as she headed into the kitchen with the two cups.
"Are you doing the history of everything?" Shania teased as she followed, her hand resting on the counter.

it was a regular summer evening in texas, and lyra was working as
a waitress in a small traditional american restuarant. after
serving her last customer for the day and waving half-heartedly
at her boss, lyra took a step outside. breathing in the humid
summer air, she started to walk down the sidewalk, sighing
to herself. what's the point, she thought. i'm never
going to get anywhere working here. lost in her own mind for
a few seconds, she bumped into a woman. stumbling back, she
was quick to apologise. "oh, im so sorry! i wasn't looking where
i was-" she stuttered, but was cut off by the woman; "no worries.
hey! lyra! i cant believe it's you! i haven't seen you for years?"
shocked to realise that it was imekari, lyra replied, "oh my gosh!
imekari! i gotta run back, but it's so awesome to see you again!"
imekari grinned. "y'know, someone once told me, if you really want
something, you just have to go for it," she said. "no point just
dreaming. life's too darn short for that." and with that,
she shouted "see ya laters, lyra!" grinned, and walked off.
it was such an incredibly strange encounter. lyra blinked,
dazed from what just happened.

lyra briefly started walking, but stopped, and looked down at her
feet. maybe i can be someone one day. to this day, lyra
has never forgotten what that imekari said to her. soon, she quit
her job at the restuarant and found an job as an extra in films.
now, lyra is working as a casting agent for a film-making firm
in hollywood. just goes to show, there's no point just dreaming.

life's too darn short for that.

dear diary,

i cant believe they hired me! im a casting agent! isn't that just
insane? i never thought i could be anything more than a waitress
in a small town restuarant, but now im gonna be casting movies...
amazing. anyways, i gotta go. i have a meeting with my boss.

whatever!

dear diary,

it's the day after the meeting, and luckily they still like me, haha.
all jokes aside, the want me to cast a tv show along with two other
casting agents in a few weeks time. it's all going so fast, i can't
believe it!

dear diary,

sorry for the really long break, i just finished the first day of casting,
and i feel so... i don't know, important? i've never felt like this before,
even when i was an extra. i just came back from tea with imekari.
i guess what that imekari said to be back in texas really did change my
life. ain't that weird?
