Khayal is a pretty cool cat... At least according to herself. The thing is that she pretty much is. She isn't the type that gets worked up over small things and doesn't really care about what people think of her, or at least she tries not to care. She has a bit of an angry side to her, one that hasn't even been seen by Halama. It isn't that bad, but it might take something really big to make her angry. She's normally lazing around, despite being really athletic. But although she's cool-headed, she's also very blunt.
Halama, on the other hand is what Khayal likes to call a worrywart. He's constantly worrying about Khayal and her well-being. He doesn't take insults well and often beckons her to do something about these rude comments. He can't seem to stand the thought of Khayal getting hurt, and often reminds her about it through telepathy. Even so, he really just cares about her, and she knows that, which is why she isn't hard on him for it.

Fancy. That's all little Elizabeth wanted... It was her birthday today. There weren't many activities, and there was a 'dress code'. All of the boys and girls there were nicely dressed and sitting at a few round tables. Some of them brought game to entertain themselves, and some of them heard there was a pool and brought swimsuits. Elizabeth was sitting down and talking with a few of her friends, trying to contain her excitement for the presents and the nicely decorated cake. She knew that her parents would call everyone over to do so sometime... Until then, she continued to talk, and even went to go play in the pool after getting her swimsuit ffrom inside.
"Who wants to open up presents and get cake?" Her parents called much earlier than she expected. She pulled herslef out of the pool and walked towards the little crowd of kids, even in she wanted to run. She was turning ten today, and as they began to sing to her, she smiled and eagerly awainpted blowing out the candles. As the song ended, she took a deep breath and blew, putting out all of the candles. While some children decided on getting cake, others stayed to watch her open the presents they brought for her. There were twelve boxes in total, and she ripped them open at an astounding pace. She got a happy gleam in her eyes as she looked at all of her presents.
"Thank y-!" She started, but her dad spoke up.
"There's one more present, from us."
Elizabeth's smile only got bigger. She had asked for a doll that she saw a month of two ago and hoped that they had gotten in for her. As they handed her the box, she opened it slowly. And she peeled the wrapping paper of, she tried desperately not to frown. It wasn't elegant. It wasn't fancy. There was no curly brown hair like the other doll. And it looked like a cat. She hated cats.
"Um... Thank you!" She tried to mask her disappointment.
-----------
Elizabeth began to despise the doll as the days went by. It went from not what she wanted to ugly. She hated it. It sat on her shelf all day and all night, untouched. That was until she had had enough of it taking up the space that her beloved beautiful doll should be. She grabbed it by it's large hand and looked outside. It was raining. She put on her raincoat and ran outside. Went into her backyard and looked at the fence that blocked off the forest. She tightened her grip and hesitated a bit before yelling a sharp "I hate you!" and throwing it as far as she could into the dark, drenched forest.
