Why is (s)he afraid of the dark? ;
Before she had her lantern necklace and glowy tail, she was born in a dark bat cave with the glowing eyes in the dark and the dark silhouettes, it frightened Luminesa. Just when a firefly appeared on her nose she followed its light out of the cave into glowing light in the night in a glittering meadow. The fireflies gave her an ever-lasting lantern and if she lost it, they put a specific glowing water that is in the meadow that lights up fireflies' lighters and dipped her tail into the lake, so she would use her tail to light the way.

Why is she afraid of the dark; Because she had a terrifying experience when she was a little kid.
Back-story; When Aleya was very young, her parents said good-night and turned off the lights for the first time. But little Aleya was scared, thinking that there might be monsters.. when she finally slept, she had a horrible nightmare about her parents leaving her alone at the deepest part of the woods in the dark, and a disappearing purple cat mocked her and there was monsters surrounding her, laughing at her. She screamed, for her mommy and daddy, to come back. Aleya suddenly woke up, gasping, her parents shaking her with the lights on. "We're so sorry, sweetheart," her mother sweetly soothed. "Thank you for waking me up, I was just having an awful dream," Aleya explained and told her parents about what happened in her nightmare. When she finished, "We'll never, absolutely never, ever leave you in the dark. We'll give you a light, to carry you always." Her father said lovingly. And so they always left little Aleya with a night-light, and when she was old enough to go walking and flying by herself, got a birthday present of a lantern pendant that she can put fireflies in...

I really would love her to be my first foxerfly, and I'm so sorry about having no art for her. But I hope you would like a back-story instead.. I'm so hoping that I can have Aleya, but if I don't, then I just hope that she goes to a loving owner who wins her in this contest.. ♥ ♥ ♥

The Prophecy - December 1996 - Age -4 months
She'd been Anima the witch; Anima the dark; Anima the cruel; Anima the stupid: now she would be Anima the mother. The youthful looking adult smiled, her wings beating softly as she flew through the air to the skjebne-soke. It was a long, cold journey, and despite her athletic figure, the pregnant Foxer began to flag as the baby inside her weighed her down. Refusing to stop and rest, she flew on into the relentless wind. She flew all night, reaching the skjebne-soke's house at sunrise. She knocked seven times, then six times, then nine times, as her mother had taught her. The skjebne-soke's hunched figure greeted her at the door way with a strange riddle of word;
"With your power your daughter will be filled,
and she will meekly do your will.
But if she sees what she has become,
she will resist, and your work will be undone."
The door slammed shut on Anima's thoughtful face. She flew slowly to a local hotel, exhausting both her mind and wings.

The Start - December 1996 - Age 7 minutes
Anima stared down at her little daughter, so frail yet destined to be so powerful.

Hotaru is a very shy, girl.
She can be rather skittish,
and jumpy at times. Typically
a rather quiet natured foxer.

蛍 Socially Awkward

A quite antisocial foxer is Hotaru. She prefers to stay
in the background of things and hates the spotlight.
Hotaru isn't very skilled in being social or even knowing
how to communicate with others very well,
making her feel crowded will only result in panic.

蛍 Kind

Hotaru is typically a very gentle nature foxer
and very kind to most others, mainly because
shes to shy to do anything else. She is rather
generous and usually has issues with the word "no".

蛍 Defensive

If there is something she believes in,
she will defend it with all her heart,
Doesn't take to kindly to bullying
and has a tendency to snap at anyone
hurting her friends, and can get a bit
protective.

蛍 Stubborn

Hotaru is very strong willed, does what she wants
and if she has her heart set on something there's no
doubt she will find a way to do or get what she wants.
She is difficult to persuade often times due to this trait.

蛍 Tinsy Bit Insane

Though to most people Hotaru is very qiet and shy,
if you are a close friend of hers, she is almost completely
different. She loves to goof off and have fun! Hotaru
Very much so enjoys a good party, if she has a friend
with her that is. She is very wild at heart and nothing but a fun
loving goof.

Hotaru, Being a very techy girl is a major computer whiz!
She found on her laptop almost all the time, and is able to fix
any virus without hesitation. She owns quite a few
computer gamesand has beat the majority of
them at least twice before.

A major anime addict, She has watched over
30 different animes, absolutely adores them, and the
style of animation. Maybe its becauseof her history in japan?
or maybe just cause she just happens to take a liking

Where shall I begin? Well, lets see. As a pup I was always afraid of the monster under my bed, My parents used to always tell me not to worry for there is no such thing. After some time my fear of the monsters faded, time by time. I could go to bed without fear of being eaten, or attacked. A year or so passed, since my fear had gone, and I had gone off to visit a friends house, however it seemed we had let time slip away and it had gotten later than i intended to stay. As I walked outide I realized how dark it was, I gulped Its okay, its just a little darkness, after all, that's what night is for right? I thought to myself. I took a deep breath and decided to just go home and focus on that, rather than all the creepy noises around me. After 15 minutes had passed I was rather sure of myself and walking rather confidently, as I decided focusing on noises and such was childish. Next thing I knew a cool wind blew on my fur, I sniffed the air a bit A storm is picking up, I best be hurrying I thought to myself. I started to pick up my pace to a trot, I looked around a bit not paying attention and tripped over a rock, landing on my leg wrong "gosh darn it, I hate rocks" I muttered under my breath as I stood back up. I shook off the dirt but as I started walking again I noticed something, my leg hurt, It was sprained. I frowned, well this sucks... I thought then continued walking, however my new limp slowed me down, I shivered, the wind was picking up. A faint footstep could be heard in the distance and suddenly I felt watched, my heart started to race. I picked up my speed as fast as i could go with a sprained leg, the wind blew again and this time, it blew out the fire in my lantern around my necklace. I froze. I couldn't hardly see! I could hear something circling around me, I gulped. What do I do? Before I could think it through I heard a loud snarl and got bit pretty hard on my shoulder, lifted up and tossed away. Scrambling to my feet I cowered in some tall grass, my sides now hurt from landing so hard on the ground, I was bruised as well. I wanted to get home, but without my lantern I didn't know where I was going, I started to cry getting panicked, as I could hear the monster sniffing around for where I had gone, maybe Its the mobster from under my bed I began to think what if its mad at me because I stopped believing?! . But then a flicker of light appeared on my nose, then another, and another, I started noticing these little lights all over the place! One would show up here, disappear, then reappear over there! As I listened it seemed as if the monster had given up and left, I chased a few of these mysterious lights down and placed them in my lantern. Once I had light in my lantern again I was able to limp my way home, where my parents fixed me up. As I look back on this story now, I realize what attacked me was no way a monster, I was only a pup and didn't know any better, Most likely this was a common house dog who attacked but then got bored, or maybe called back home? I don't really know, All I know is that those fireflies saved me.
