Introduction
She was so beautiful, in every meaning of that word. Or at least from what I've heard... I've never seen her, but dad so often talks about how she was the highlight of his day. And even though he knew she loved him with all her heart, he told me about the way he felt and how breathless he would be when she was in his presence. Here, let me explain. Sh-, my mother, was far too early. She was in labor. There was a big snow storm and everything was hectic enough without my dad having to constantly worry about her. She gave birth to two pups, one male and one female. The female was older, but she was so small. The chilling air froze right to her bones. Even though we were all at the main site of Isket, nobody could help. The storm was too strong and everybody was too afraid to try and venture out to find us. Or to find anyone for that matter. The wind had blown everything's scent away. Everything was a swirling white abyss, and, on one hand I'm almost glad nobody came for us, I didn't want them to loose direction and get lost. But I'd still like to think that some tried.
Even after giving birth to my sister and myself, my mother bled. It wouldn't stop. Dad said the puddle of blood began tainting her beautiful blue green coat, into an awful scarlet. My dad couldn't do anything to help, he wasn't a medic. And it was only the four of us at the time. Two close to dead pups, a close to dead mother, and a grieving father. What an awful first family moment. My mother spoke her last few words, and requested that if there be any way, save the pups. My dad kept us close to his chest and his giant tongue caressed both of our scrawny backs. The storm lasted all night. My dad had stayed awake that whole time trying to keeping us warm. In the morning when everything died down, warriors were checking on each other and they came by our den only to find a dead female warrior and two sickly pups huddled by my dad's breast. We were sent to another female who must have had just had pups herself, and she gave me milk and warmth. I'm sad to say when we met the female, my sister was dead. Her tiny body couldn't produce enough heat for itself and she froze.
Aside from the female feeding me, my dad raised me. He named me and taught me fascinating things. From day to day, I often wonder what my mother and sister looked like. From what I heard from dad, they were both beautiful and stunning in different ways. Dad says I have my mothers eyes. Oh, how he loves her. Even now that shes gone.
I Have A Plain For My Life
Every day my dad would train and wear me out. He was a great teacher and a strong fighter. I looked up to my dad, and how he could be so fearless in a battle but yet so gentle when it came to love. Along with training me, he taught me valuable lessons. He was smart and obviously knew what he was doing. He would take time to listen to me, and get in depth about serious things. He was sarcastic but knew when the time to be sensitive was.
That night, after the regular day's training wear-out, I had a dream. I think. I woke up next to this female Warrior, who smelled of sweet honey. The sun shone over us, and I felt happy. There was a tingling inside of me, that I couldn't quite pinpoint. Like ButterBirds fluttering inside of me while I was laying next to this warrior. She was gorgeous, and stunning. But the funny thing is, I couldn't see her coat or face. She was just there. And... I think... I loved her. I've never know love. Of course, love my dad, but it wasn't the same. It was more of a deeper love, I think. I was just so happy to be with her, and I couldn't explain why. I looked at her, and her belly was rounded. She looked pregnant... Was I her mate? Is this how my dad felt with my mom while she was still alive? Is this my future? Do I understand this meaning of 'love'? Or am I mistaken? I shook my head, but the confusion and feelings didn't leave. She started to wake up, and we sat up and faced each other. I touched my nose on her belly and smiled. It was like I wasn't in control, like I was on the side lines viewing this scene as a bystander. We leaned our bodies closer together and the crown part of our heads were touching. She said in a quite voice, "I love you" and I uncontrollably replied, "I love you, too." I did love her! But, I noticed she didn't have a voice. Just like how her coat was made of nothing, but she was still there and I still loved her.
I woke with a sudden jolt the next morning. It was all a dream. But I thought about it for a while and I understood it all. I didn't know what she looked or sounded like, because she wasn't a specific warrior. She is just the one in my future, that I'll find and love. I have a plan for my life. I'll find her, whoever she happens to be. I'll love her.
