Why would they be fit to adopt this child?; A form was already posted stating that Fili was not interested in a serious relationship, however she was interested in having a child. Since a relationship was out of question, an adoption is a great way to help a child and also give her what she would like. She has experience with children already, so she won't just be stumbling along blindly, and she has a large home to let Lorne live in. There's no doubt she would be able to raise and care for Lorne and be an excellent parent, and I have no doubt that he would be loved.

Kadir, but the relationship was not all that he'd hoped it would be. While Charrus is an extroverted, silly, fun-loving guy, he was extremely serious, strict, and protective of Kadir. He was his first child, and Charrus didn't want to lose him as Kadir was all he had. Yet, in a sense, he practically pushed the pup away. They would fight a lot, and every time it seemed they would reconcile, things went downhill. Charrus had hoped to pass his farm on to Kadir, but he would not accept and when he became an adult left the house. Charrus was devastated, and would essentially like to 'right things' by taking in other children to care for them, and show them the love he'd have for them. He also has learned from what happened with Kadir, and wishes to make up for that as well, especially due to Kadir's choice in career and some of his life decisions.
What makes them fit to adopt; Firstly, Charrus has learned a lot after the situation with Kadir. He's learned that he was too hard on him and knows what he should do to be a better parent. While he would prefer for any adoptive children to have no contact with their adoptive brother, he would allow it so long as Kadir wasn't poisoning their minds. Charrus has a large farm with many animals, so while he does tend to them he has the time to take care of his family too. There would be lots of space to play, and Charrus has the money - due to him not just inheriting the farm but also a fair amount of money - to pay for the children's tuition, toys, and anything else they might want. While he knows what he needs to stick his ground on - there are somethings a parent has to do, even if the kid will be angry with them for it at the time - he also has learned the lesson that sometimes, you have to let the kid learn the hard way. Charrus has tried to look into finding a relationship, but hasn't had any luck and isn't actively pursuing one, although he is open if someone were to end up taking interest. This leaves him with more time to pay attention to the kids, and leaves out the idea that the children would feel they were receiving less love and attention than a blood-related child.
