Shy, scared, easily frightened, and cowardly, she can be found hiding under anything, her lantern in her paws, breathing softly. She is claustrophobic and has nyctophobia. fear of the dark. Although its not completely the dark itself, but what lurks around in it.
Why is (s)he afraid of the dark? ; As a kit ((Kit, right?)) she had gone out into the dark looking for something of hers. She stumbled upon a rock and fell down a pothole. She is very claustrophobic and panicked, leading to the walls closing in. She was stuck in there for two days until a dark shadow got her out, but promised her next time he wouldn't help her unless she payed a huge price, her sanity. Fearing to see the shadow again, she keeps a lantern to make the world around her light up enough where she can avoid catastrophe.

Lumina's about the sweetest foxerfly you'll ever meet, however, she has a secret dark side. She'll gladly help you if you ask, but not if it's for a bad cause, but sometimes she has trouble saying no. She had a rocky childhood when both her parents were killed and she's lived alone ever since, but has decided to put the past behind her.

Talent:

Her talent is silent communication. She can make others understand her without saying a word.


Why is she afraid of the dark?

When Lumina was small, she went for lots of walks in the forest, but there was one particular night that went wrong. She was walking in the forest and it was getting dark. That's when she noticed that she had lost the trail she normally walks on and she tried to back track and find the trail, but she couldn't find it... Then the creepy noises started; the hoot of the owls, the ruffling of mice in the leaves, the croak of the bull frogs, and the squeak of the bats in the dark night sky. Lumina was scared out of her mind. That's when her fear started. She curled up in a ball on the forest floor, closed her eyes, and silently pleaded for help... Then suddenly, there were these small glowing lights all around her, she opened her eyes and was amazed that the lights were guiding her to a small cottage, and she got up and followed them to the cottage. When she got there, a nice, old man foxerfly opened the door for her, she came in, and he gave her a magic lantern that whatever light source you put in it, it never goes out. She took the lantern, thanked the man, and put the fireflies in it. When she left, she asked the fireflies to lead her out of the forest. When she got out of the forest, she realized her talent of silent communication.

personality;; hiroto is extremely afraid of the dark [explained below] which keeps him from doing most things. he's been called a coward so many times he doesn't even deny it. however, hiro is very smart, and went into the same profession as his father, though he tends to spend more time looking at the stars. he can name most of the constellations. his fear of the dark pulls him back though, and he has to be inside to star gaze.

why is he afraid of the dark?;; his father wrote a lot of literature while hiroto was a kid, and often talked about symbolism to him and teaching him what everything means. his father told him that the dark symbolized evil and death, and he went into great detail of how this could be. however, hiro does not remember that before that, when he was much smaller, his father told him that the dark symbolized peace, silence, rest, and comfort. Hiro did not forget because he wanted to, but because that's what happens when you grow older.

Why is (s)he afraid of the dark? ; Once when glory was just a pup she snuck outside at night just to see what it was like outside in the middle of the night. At first she was fine until a mountain lion showed up. Glory had never seen one before because they come out at night. She found out it was a predator and immediatly ran inside. when she looked out a the window to see if it was still there she could'nt see it in gthe dark. she could hear it though. She never wanted to go into the dark again after that because she was afraid that a ferocius animal was lurking around the corner.

Shea is a very kind, sweet girl. However, she is also very shy. Shea is a great leader, and is very intelligent, but she's not very funny. Her lack of amusement always makes her upset, because she wants people to be happy! Shea is willing to give up her money to a good cause. Because of this, her pockets are nearly empty. She says that it's worth it, though! She has a college degree in literature (as she is a master poet), and currently lives in a rather large condo in California.

Shea is extremely afraid of the dark. She used to live in Iowa, where her family would camp almost every day at their favorite site. Shea's family is just about the opposite as her; mean, rude, and... unintelligent. It was a wonder where Shea got her personality! One night, Shea was about to go to sleep. Her family asked her if she was comfortable. Shea was very comfortable, but she hadn't realized that she accidentally crept into her parent's sleeping bag instead of her small, thin one. Shea was suddenly caught with fear. She didn't know what to say.
"Y-yes..." she said finally. It was the truth, after all. Shea would never lie.
Shea's dad growled. Yes- that was the word. Growled. "Well, maybe you'll have a five star experience with the wolves!" He yelled.
Shea gasped. She knew that although her father was obviously drunk, he wasn't bluffing. "So leave!" he shouted. Her dad stared shooing Shea out of the tent. Shea reached for her blanket at the last second, before she was shoved outside. Shea's mom zipped up the tent, while her father placed miscellaneous items against all of the tent walls. Shea whimpered. As a 7 year-old, she knew she wouldn't have the strength to penetrate the barrier. Even if she did, she would certainty come back home with a few broken bones.
Shea trudged away, and finally found a comfortable patch of grass on top of the hill next to her parents. This way, she could stay away from them, but still make sure that they didn't abandon her. She huddled herself up in her blanket, and attempted to get comfortable.
Wolves howled in the cold night, taunting Shea. She had never imagined that the night could be so intimidating. Dark, empty, unwelcoming, it was like an endless void of fear and despair. Night time predators began lurking about, and even the spiders were preying. Shea shivered in discomfort. Would the night ever end?

In attempts to calm herself down, Shea noticed a swarm of fireflies nearby. One in particular seemed to intrigue her. She kept her eyes glued to it for a long time. Finally, the bug approached her. It hesitated, but inched closer. Eventually, the firefly landed on her blanket. Shea smiled at it and slowly fell asleep. When she woke up, the bug was still there, welcoming the slowly rising sun.

A simple story
My friend and I we're walking through the forest, it was starting to get dark. "We should find somewhere to sleep." she just said, when I heard a small noise."Hang on," I said. "I think I heard something..." We stood there for a few minutes. Then I saw something long and shiny, I eyes went wide. "Go! Run, run!" I yelled. We both took off full speed. Hunters.I remember thinking. Gunshots rung in my ears, I couldn't see where I was going. "Aura! Help!" My friend yelled. I skidded to a stop and looked back, she was limping. "Come on!" I yelled, but another shot rung out and she fell to the ground. No... I thought. I took off in the opposite direction of where my friend laid. I ran and ran. Out of corner of my eye I spotted a cave lit up with fireflies. I slowed down and headed toward it. Once I was inside the fireflies trickled in. I collapsed crying and howling, the fireflies by my side, and that's how I stayed all night.
To this day I vow to help the lost ones out of the dark.
