████"He will be Acheron,
named for the River of Sorrow,
the river of Tears."Username :

Name of the Kit :
Acheron
Origine of the name:Revenge is a River;Strong yet sweet.
In Greek, Acheron means River of sorrow or River of woe. I felt this name suited this kit because of his oceanic design, and that the fact that he has two orbs meant he had to steal one.
Gender :
Male
Where did they get their second orb?Acheron.
He was named for the brilliant river that stole so many lives. His mother had given birth next to this river. The rarity of having three kits hung over the she-kit’s weak body. She was ill, but she was so happy. Three! She hadn’t even thought it possible. But her happiness did not last. One of her kits fell. She fell into the river of tears, swept away before the mother could catch her. She had raced along the Acheron, following the current, trying to find her lost kit. But it was useless.
She returned to her remaining kits, weeping. They were crying as well, but not for their lost sister. They did not know of true sadness, not yet. They merely wanted food. So the She-kit fed them. She named them as they ate. The first was Oceanus. Beautiful, blue Oceanus. The other kit, she named Acheron. After the river that took his sister. The River of Sorrow.
His mother hardly spoke to Acheron. She favored Oceanus, and she pampered him. Poor Acheron was often left to his own devices. He grew jealous of his brother, who gained all the glory. He wanted his mother’s love, her attention, but all of it was directed to Oceanus. So, Acheron became a trouble maker. He would set traps. He would disturb and attack other kits, all for attention. But his mother gave him none. She wouldn’t rebuke him, she wouldn’t lecture him. For all she cared, Acheron had died in the river as well.
So, finally, Acheron decided that the only way to receive his mother’s attention, even for her to look his direction, would be for him to commit the ultimate crime. He didn’t care what the consequences were, he didn’t care if all she did was look him in the eye and weep. It would be enough for him. Acheron had made up his mind.
Acheron began his mission, on the darkest night. Oceanus lived near the river, and Acheron had memorized the route, having come here many times. He came to his brother’s home on silent paws. He could see the seaweed colored tail, and the blue of Oceanus’s fur. Acheron snuck up behind his sleeping brother, one side of his mouth curled up into a half-smile. His crazed, wide eyes searched for Oceanus’s most prized possession; his sea green orb.
It lay around Oceanus’s neck, calling to Acheron. ”I’m coming, precious,” he thought madly to himself. He slipped his teeth over the orb’s string, and carefully pulled it over his brother’s head. As soon as the orb left Oceanus’s possession, Acheron’s brother awoke in a panic. He jumped up, thrashing. “WHERE IS MY ORB?” He howled. Acheron quickly slipped the orb over his own neck, and snickered, smiling his insane smile.
He raced away, back to his home. He kept his brother’s orb as a trophy, wearing it proudly. Everywhere he went, the others feared him, but Acheron didn’t care. He had his revenge.Word count:498/500Spl/it PersonalityBecause of his second orb, Acheron has two different personalities. The dominant one, oddly enough is his second personality, the one given to him by his brother's orb. This extra personality often bleeds through in the form of boasting, and a terrible case of vanity. Acheron spends much of his time making sure his fur is sleek and perfect, his tail shimmers, and his orbs sparkle. And, seeing as all the other kits are afraid of him, Acheron will often tell himself just how fabulous he looks. This self-conversing is another side effect of his split personality. He does it all the time, just as much out of loneliness as out of insanity. Acheron never removes his second orb, so he has begun to lose his mind. This insanity makes up the whole of his other personality. His original character, his gentle quietness, had dissipated long ago, back before he begun to hunger so unceasingly for his mother's attention. Now, he was the poster child of insanity. He is a bully, enjoying taunting the young kits, pushing the middle aged ones, and spitting on the old ones. He is so crazy that he hardly eats, save when he just can't stand the hunger any longer. His unnatural thinness is one of the many things that frighten off other kits.
