Why I Want Her:
Believe it or not I have had a design sketch for a saluki character in mind for awhile now, but I couldn't put a design to my character idea. I was looking for something simple, because it's really the story that counts. Touriel fits perfectly with what I was looking for. Now my story plan may seem a bit unorthodox but she inspired me so much. I would not merely make Touriel a common house dog, but put her into my character kingdom as one of my nobles, where she will be loved as much an any of my other characters. I see her as more than just a common house pet, and she will be destined for greater things. I would keep her basic back story but expand it and make it my own. I want to thank you for this chance to win such a beautiful design.
Personality:
Touriel is very independent but she needs someone to admire and appreciate her. She yearns for the affection and love she lacked in her early years. She is happy when others admire her as a good role model and when others look up to her. Touriel hates to be alone, it is a fear of hers. She enjoys the company of others. Touriel has a warm spirit that draws others in. She has the ability to lift the hearts of others and provides encouragement to brighten someone's day. Touriel is very friendly and enjoys lending a helping hand whenever she can. She is very enthusiastic and is rarely ever seen thinking that the glass is half empty. Touriel dever dwells on the past and always looks forward to the future. She never holds a grudge and is very forgiving. Touriel loves new things and hates a routine. Touriel is extremely sensitive but she hides that very well. She loves praise and flattery and her ego demands respect and adoration. This can cause her to be self centered but her large warm heart balances this out. She is always in the spotlight and makes her presence known. Touriel is full of an energy that pulls people in and brightens their day. Others are attracted to her wit and charm. Touriel is very generous and is a kind, openhearted individual. She enjoys helping others and making things right when all seems lost. All in all she has a heart of gold that cannot be broken down by anything. Her optimism is unmatched and Touriel is someone that others enjoy being around.
Brief History Outline:

Touriel was born and raised in the kingdom center. However her life is not as lavish as it may sound. She is the daughter of a poor, sickly mother who could not afford to take care of her and her siblings. Her father walked out on her when she was a few months old. Touriel and her siblings were taken out of the care of her mother, who was deemed unfit to care for them. They were all passed from home to home, never finding the perfect place. After a few weeks they were always retured to the shelter to once again wait and hope that some kind soul would come and claim them. Touriel was never what the families were looking for and this caused her to have some abandonment issues. Touriel had never felt that she fit in, and she believed that this is why no one ever wanted her. Just when Touriel was about to give up hope a noblewoman came into the shelter in serarch of a child in need. She spotted Touriel and it was love at first sight. Touriel was adoped by this loving woman and taken to her now permanent home where she now lives as a noblewoman herself. Touriel never forgot how lucky she as and will never forget the struggle that the less fortunate have. She vowed to help anyone in need and works to help other children who were in the same situation as she.
