Name of Mutato:Luce
Reason I chose the name: Luce means light in Italian, and the top picture reminds me of light beams shooting through clouds at sunset.
Story: Their was once a shadow dragon, and everyday he prayed to the stars that someday he could see the sunset, but as a shadow dragon he had to stay out of the light otherwise he would vanish, no one knew what would happen to those who vanished, they never returned. One day the dragon had an idea he decided to just stay in the shadow of a tree while the sunset, for him it would be waking up very early and a dangerous job. That day at sunset he stayed in the shadow of a tree and saw his 1st sunset. It was beautiful, light shot through the clouds and the sky was a golden pink, it was a miracle that he lived to tell the story.

name of the mutato: Equinox, the time of year that the day and night are of equal length.

reason: Reason for choosing the name - well, when I was thinking of a story this idea popped into my head. So Equinox was a perfect name. You'll know why when you read the story c:


story: Once upon a time, my little ones, I saw the most terrible and tragic love story between two of our most prized figures. Yes it is true we poisoned the day, turning her into a cloudy, waste-filled sunrise. But it was not only ourselves we harmed. Oh, no. We may have broken the night beyond repair as well.

Those many years ago, the night; with his blustery, angry mood, found himself in love with that glimpse of the dawn he saw every day just before he was pulled into slumber. He chased that golden light around the globe for six months, and finally caught up with that shining candelabrum of mystery.

That day was the equinox, where the night and the day are equal in duration and power. The smitten Night flew up to meet Day in that starry sky and they danced among comets and stardust trails, waltzed through planetary rings and fox-trotted among the asteroid belt.

Then, when it was time for Night to return to his dark abode, he presented Day with a ring. A promise that they could always be together, even when they could not see one another. He sealed a little piece of himself in that ring, a band of gold with an ebony gem. She, in turn, gave him a piece of herself to wear in a chain around his neck. Night held her fervently close and kissed her, once, twice, thrice, before he settled among the shadows of Earth.

It was a beautiful romance, but doomed; for they could only see each other twice a year. The two did the best with what they had, but it was not to be. The Day grew sick, grey clouds of waste and poison gas covering her even when she shined the strongest. And one lonely hour, up there in the stars, she succumbed to the poison. The ring, which once she had held so dear, fell to earth in a shower of rock and fire.

There it lay until Night came, him holding the ring gingerly to his chest, and he knew of his lovers’ fate. He fell to his knees, trembling with pain and grief. With one hand he tore the favor from his neck and looped her ring through it, tossing it up into the sky.

Where the two rings met, Equinox was formed.

My name is FoxerOwl, but I go by Foxer or Fox. This is the first time I have tried out for a Mutato, but it won't be the last!

A certain Mutato taps his foot impatiently. "Can we move on, please?"

Ugh, you always want to know about them, don't you? Fine, but I'll let him explain it.

The Mutato sighs. "Name's Soul Reactor, now leave me alone!" Soul Reactor groans, rolling a toothpick between his teeth.

So basicly a dragon has everyone under a spell but when you move into the light you go out of the spell but once full day hits,the hypnotized people and the dragon all die.

Draco Somnium is bipolar,she can be both controling or shy.She is like night and day.She always has the yin of the yang or the yang of the yin following her emotion so if she is happy one moment she will be sad the next few.If she is couragous or brave one moment she will be scared of everything the next.

Name of the Mutato: Petrified


Reason for Choosing the Name: When I looked at the design for this Mutato, a particular creature from a certain branch of mythology popped into my head: the cockatrice. The cockatrice normally consists of a chicken (or a rooster) and a dragon put together - it is two-legged, has two wings, has the body of a dragon, and has the head of a rooster (some myths indicate that the cockatrice has sharp teeth, similar to the Nile Crocodile). The cockatrice is known for its deadly power to turn whatever it sets its gaze upon to stone (some myths indicate that instead of staring at someone, the cockatrice may touch or breath upon them to turn them to stone). This being has very similar powers to Medusa, a being from Greek Mythology who turned people to stone by staring into their eyes. In certain myths, the only animal that is immune to the cockatrice's deadly glare is the weasel. In most myths, the cockatrice can be killed by staring at itself in a mirror; in other myths, the cockatrice can be killed simply by hearing a rooster's crow.
Because of the cockatrice's ability to turn its victims to stone, I thought the name "petrified" would fit this Mutato nicely. And, according to the Bing Dictionary, petrify is defined as,
"1. Immobilize somebody with fear: to cause a person or animal to become immobile with terror.
2. Turn something to stone: to become stone, or cause something organic to turn into stone.
3. Make or become deadened: to become dull, stiff, or deadened, or cause something to become dull, stiff, or deadened."

Upon thinking about the word "petrified," I remembered a song by the same name. "Petrified" is a very popular techno-rap song by H8_Seed and MicTheMicrophoneZero. I think that having this Mutato share the same name as the song would be pretty great.
