Owner Name:
The Jøker
Name:
Oscha
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Oscha isn't easily excitable, or particularly feeling for that matter. Oscha get's the job done quickly and efficiently and that's all that is really important to him. A hard taskmaster and a callus dragon, Oscha's first loyalty and last loyalty is to the one that cares for him. He tries his hardest to work with his owner, despite their bickering nature.
Oscha doesn't get along well with others of his kind, simply because he finds them difficult to deal with. He often avoids social situations, which has given the label of an enigma. His portal using ability doesn't help his reputation, and most people think he is a compulsive liar. Beneath the cold, numb exterior, however, Oscha is very lonely and simply finds it difficult to find someone who understands him.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
I would love this Rune Dragon because his design is very beautiful. I am drawn to his ability to use portals, and I also think he would get along well with my other Rune Dragon, Alchem.
Where will you keep him/her:
I would keep him in my signature and he would be my trade guardian.
Would you like to breed him/her in the feature:
Yes, I would love to breed him in the future.
Any Quirks:
-Oscha is allergic to lavender.
-Oscha has a deathly fear of fire
-Oscha is very expressive with his tongue, for some reason. He will stick out his tongue and, depending on the position it is in, it means something about who he's feeling.
Other:
(This story is based in space, a few hundred years in the future) I breathed a sigh as I stalked down the brightly lit hallway of "The Odyssey", a large, military spacecraft that was currently on recon in the Rigel System. We were getting reports of a large spacecraft orbiting one of the nine surrounding moons of Rigel, and we had no idea where to start. Staark Team, my group, was being deployed to Rigel Nine to patrol the area for this large spacecraft, so we were getting ready to ship out. For some reason, each of us was being paired up with a Rune Dragon. I wasn't really in the mood to complain, as I was down with some sort of illness when the orders were released, and now it was to late.
My Rune Dragon, or rather the one I was being teamed up with, was a frustrating little portal creator known as Oscha. He didn't speak, he rarely listened to orders that weren't given to him by High Command, and he had a habit of sticking his tongue out. When I reached the room where we kept the Rune Dragons, I saw Darion, my group's joker, "Hey Darion."
Darion turned around, smiling. His Rune Dragon, a pretty little girl, was already on his shoulder, dressed and ready for deployment, "Hey, J! How's it going?" He asked, subconsciously patting his Rune Dragon on the head.
I sighed, "I ended up getting stuck with Oscha. You know anything about the little brat?" I grumbled.
Darion laughed, "Yup. I know Oscha. Everyone knows Oscha. You just gotta try not to order him around to much, and let him do his thing. You'll get used to it. Don't worry, J. You might find you'll really like him," Darion said before tossing my a little earpiece. I looked at him questioningly and he chuckled, "INTEL sent these out. They let us understand Rune Dragons. It might help you with Oscha." Darion then left, and I felt very apprehensive about opening the door to the Rune Dragon room.
Swallowing my pride and my fears, I punched the code in the keypad and the door slid open. Many, many Rune Dragons were scattered about the room. After a moment of thought, I put the earbud in my ear. Immediately, the room was alive with conversation. Females talking about eggs, males talking about mates, but most commonly was the discussion about the mysterious Spacecraft orbiting a Rigel moon. I walked up to two Rune Dragons, "Excuse me, Can you tell me where Oscha is?" I asked politely.
Their mouth's didn't always move when they spoke, but I understood them nonetheless, "He's at the far end of the room, dressed like you. You can't miss him."
I muttered a quick thank you, before I trekking to the other side of the room. Sure enough, a dark rune dragon was sitting on a perch, his bright eyes glaring at me. We didn't speak while I left the room, or while we prepared for deployment, or even while we landed. In fact, I began to think that the little creature was mute.
Rigel 9 was a moon mostly inhabited by dense, forest-like structures. No animals, except for us and the Runes, were on it, and it would be pretty easy to find a living, breathing creature on the dead rock. It was always humid on Rigel 9, and one was constantly waiting for rain.....
Oscha remained on my shoulder for the first hour of looking around. Staark team was scattered throughout the moon to cover more ground. Our only protection was a large, standard gun. Not much, but it'd saved lives in the past, so I wasn't about to complain. Occsionally, Oscha would fly off, then come back. I ignored it for the most part.
A sudden, loud rumbling caught my attention, and Oscha was baring his teeth. Joker? Report! Seismic activity was just picked up in your area. Are you well?" Commander Staark asked me over the com.
"Don't worry Commander, Oscha and I are just fine!" I replied. I heard Oscha growl and I turned to look at the Rune Dragon.
"You shouldn't lie," Oscha growled quietly. I raised my eyebrow, but my question was interrupted as a large, mechanical creature broke through the trees. I let out a yelp and ran behind the trunk of a large tree. Oscha was snarling to himself about his stupidity.
"Oscha? What's going on?" I asked worriedly. Frankly, I had no idea, and the Rune Dragon sounded like he understood what was going on.
"Listen to me very carefully Joker. I need you to stall the machine for one minute. I have to prepare a portal!" Oscha snarled over the sudden loud grinding of metal against metal. I felt tears spring into my eyes at the sound, but I forced myself to nod. Oscha flew up and began to create a portal. Without so much as a second thought, I leapt out of my hiding place and began firing at the machine like there was no tomorrow. The machine looked like a large worm, and when it saw me, mechanical tentacles leapt from the side and tried to go for me. I muttered a quick thanks to whatever voice in my head told me to bring my gyroblade. I slashed at the two tentacles then shot at the eye of the beast. Enraged, it leapt at me and for the first time I realized just how large it was. At least 45 feet in length!
"Joker! Get over here, now!" I heard Oscha bark. I leapt away from the machine and ran towards Oscha.
"Jump in! It will close once I go in!" Oscha barked.
"Where will it take us?" I said, looking from the beast to Oscha.
"Back to the ship, now go!" Oscha snarled, pushing me in. I suddenly watched as a tentacle grabbed Oscha. Without thinking, I threw my arms up and grabbed Oscha before yanking him against my chest. The portal closed, but not before a tentacle entered with us. We swirled in darkness for sometime before an opening appeared. We fell onto The Odyssey's main deck. The Admiral looked at us.
"What happened, Sergeant?" he asked me.
I stood up, pushing the mechanical tentacle off of me, "We found the beast, Admiral! Get Staark team outtta there and blow up the planet!" I snarled, "That machine was made by The Vorai."
The Admiral didn't need to be told anything else, he sent the order down, then asked us to leave the main deck. I nodded and walked off. Suddenly, I realized that Oscha was not with me. I looked around, suddenly feeling a panic. I had grabbed him in time, didn't I? I rushed back to the Main Deck, but he wasn't there. I then ran to the Rune Dragon room, but he wasn't there either. I hurried all over The Odyssey before Darion, now back from Rigel 9, told me he had seen Oscha in the Space Deck, a small room made of a glass-like material that let us look at space freely. I walked to the Space Deck.
"Oscha?" I asked softly as I walked in. The little Dragon was standing in the center, looking at Rigel 9 below us.
"You saved me......." He whispered, his voice thick with confusion and sadness.
I walked over to Oscha and sat down next to him, "Ya. I did. Because you would've done the same for me."
Oscha looked at me questioningly and I smiled, "We're partners, now. No matter what."
I can't really say what expression I saw on Oscha, because I don't know how to read the expressions of the Rune Dragons, but in my eyes, I could've sworn he smiled.......
