A memory I cherish...
I trotted down the driveway that led to me and Mum's house. It was Halloween, my favorite night of the whole year. My wings fluttered behind me, glowing brightly in the low evening light. A crescent moon rose above my head, shimmering in the sky like a claw.
I squashed my hat harder on my head, gripping my bucket tighter in my mouth as I padded down the sidewalk towards my first destination- candy house number 1. My tails swished behind me, orb floating gaily along like a little ghost. Luckily, this one didn't say boo. As I approached the house, my heart began to pound with excitement, my coat fluffing up with joy. I jumped up on the doorstep, ringing the bell with my front paw. As the door cracked open, I mewed "Trick or Treat!!" with all the joy I could
muster, which in this case, was enough to send the opener of the door back a few steps, grinning with surprise. "Well, what a happy trick-or-treater we have!" I mewed happily, eying the bowl of candy they held. "And what a great costume! You're a.... butterfly?" I purred, shaking my head, my hat falling forward and covering one of my eyes. I flicked it back with a toss of my head. "I'm a Marble Cat!" I meowed. "The best thing to be- no costume required. But," I paused, eyes shining, "-the hat makes me a witch, too!"
